Why I Probably...

Why I Probably Won’t Fit Into My Swimsuit This Summer

Okay, first of all who can walk by these things and NOT buy them? I mean, they’re called WHIPPETS. It means that they’re just A) begging to be bought and B) begging to be mocked. I did both. They are like little puffs of Heaven. Covered in chocolate. I think I need another box.

Snickerdoodles! Sweet! I can never make these right. The first time I tried I had no idea what cream of tartar was. The first thing that popped into mind was tartar sauce and I was all, “Ew, they want me to put that in COOKIES?” Then I realized what they meant. But the cookies still came out funny. I tried again and this time the cookies tasted like a brick with cinnamon sugar on top. So now I just buy the Snickerdoodle cookies. Trust me, it’s just easier that way.

Peeps are a given. For some reason the yellow Peeps always taste the best. And they also taste the best during Easter. Sure I’ll buy them for Halloween and Christmas but they really aren’t the same. And as for that chicken thing? Dude, it poops gum in the shape of an egg. Who could turn that down? I claimed it was for Tommy but I might have to swipe it for my entertainment. Hi, I’m Amber and I’m 28. Potty humor still makes me laugh.

Cadbury Crème Eggs. The bane of my existence. I cannot stay away from these things. I won’t even admit how many boxes I’ve gone through. And as for the Fun Dip? I bought them to try and ward off my sweet tooth. They are only 50 calories a bag. It probably looks funny to see a grown adult dipping a sugar stick in colored sugar that turns her tongue red.

Can I be the first to say that PEEPS POPCORN ROCKS! Seriously, it is so good. I need to buy another bag. The Dove chocolates are a given and that butter cream egg? Delicious!

So yes. I may not look the best in my swimsuit this year.

But it’s not my fault! Companies need to stop producing such delicious foods.

So there.

I've always heard of Snickerdoodles, but for some reason they are just not around where I live. I'll have to go on a hunt for them!! hehe.

  7. Dove gets me in trouble. I could eat a whole bag in a day. In fact, I made it one of my resolutions to not eat so much Dove while at work. The only problem with that is that now I eat too many Hershey's Kisses and Reese Cups.

  13. Agreed. It's the fault of these big name companies that produce such sweet, delicious confections that are too irrisistable to pass up. That's why my waist line doesn't look the way it used to. Thanks for the info! :)

  15. I am such a fan of fun dip. I still buy it from time to time!

  16. Apparently I need to broaden my food horizons. Weren't you the one to introduce that flat meat thing? Now this. I've only tasted the peeps and fun-dip and that was many many years ago. I'm Sara and I'm 31 and never eaten a whippet, snickerdoodle, cadbury egg, dove chocolate, or eaten gum pooped by a chicken. :D

I won't fit into my bathing suit this year, either. . .but I think I'll still be able to blame it on the pregnancy - even though I'm due in April!

  25. Mmm snickerdoodles. I cheat when I bake them- I use the refrigerated sugar cookie dough and then make cinnamon sugar like for toast and roll balls of the dough around in that... I think they come out pretty good that way :)

  30. I made snickerdoodles a couple of weeks ago. I put in 1 cup of water instead of 1 teaspoon. (in denial about needing glasses) Still baked them. My hubby called them glutton-doodles. I am going to eat a Cadbury Egg in honor of you and your swimsuit. Good luck.

  43. I hadn't seen a cadbury egg yet and now the crazy pregnant lady must go to the store and raid the Easter aisle. If I can't fit in my swimsuit this year, I'm blaming you! ;)

  46. Snicker Eggs, my Easter weakness. It's the best caramel to chocolate ratio.

    So yummy~

    ReplyDelete
  47. I love the cadbury little crunchy eggs...they are my absolute favorite! You are just like a little kid in a candy store. :)

    ReplyDelete
  48. You are wicked showing me this. But I must confess that today at Walmart I bought Snickerdoodles and dark chocolate Reeses Cups. And Peeps are an absolute weakness of mine.

Check out my post last week about English toffee:

I am terrible when it comes to sweets. Woe is me. Whippets indeed.

  49. So what exactly DOES cream of tartar do? I never figured that one out, I just always avoided the recipes that asked for it as an ingredient.

    Thanks for stopping by today.

  51. I love creme eggs, I get them sent over all the time. I don't care if I can't get into my bathing suit ever again, I cannot give them up. Actually, I can always get into the bathing suit, it just doesn't always look that good. Ah, who cares, I don't need to be in Sports Illustrated!
I have no idea what snickerdoodles are, but the name is amazing.
