Hey, It's Okay Tuesday!

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. They have a section called Hey, It’s Okay and will list a bunch of things to be okay about. I think I’m going to do this every Tuesday now. You're welcome to join in and do something like this on your diary. Doesn't have to be on a Tuesday either.

Hey, It's Okay....

To wonder about the sanity of the celebrities who tweet on Twitter (for instance, Kirstie Alley once called her poop a ‘butt baby.’)

To have first realized you truly wanted kids during the dance number in Stepmom (the “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” one. What? Dancing around the house grabbing curtains down with children looked like fun.)

To have totally called the Ricky Martin being gay thing.

To have had a chocolate bunny for lunch on Easter. And the next day. And okay, possibly today as well.

To know that you will never have your cooter vajazzled. Especially because you know it will only startle, not turn on your husband.

To love disposable diapers. (But think that the cloth ones are rather cute.)

To look forward to the premiere of Army Wives this Sunday even though it can be utterly unrealistic on how it portrays military life.

To still not get the point of Justin Bieber.

To be both happy and sad that your kid has gone back to school after a long (LONG) Spring Break.

To hope that one of the Duggar children rebel.

  5. The cloth diaper comment gets an amen from me. And the Duggar comment. hahahaha!

What the heck is cooter vajazzled? Sequins and sparkles down there?!

  6. One of them HAS to rebel! The world can not go on without a Duggar distaster!

I totally missed the Ricky Martin thing. I have no idea how.

I love tattoos, I'm all for piercing...but not on the business. That's just crazy talk.

I ate pastel packaged mini Kit Kat bars for breakfast.

  7. I hope and pray EVERY SINGLE DAY that one of the Duggar children will show up in a tabloid drunk off their butt!

  10. I am with you on SO many of these things!

    * Butt baby! Very funny... and original. I actually find it creatively amusing!

    * I have been more than over-doing the Easter candy eating... It needs to stop now.

    * I am all about the disposable diapers, but those cloth ones are adorable!

    * And I don't get Justin Bieber AT ALL!

    * I live VERY close to the Duggars and I would think (and I hope) that one of them will rebel and be naughty...

  11. I think it's okay...

To like the same music your kids like. Makes trips in the car a little easier, except when hubby is with you.

I think it's okay to boot off Kate Gosselin from Dancing With The Stars. She has no talent for dancing!

I also think it's okay to be excited about watching the Army Wives premiere! Can't wait!

  14. It's okay to enjoy eating a chocolate bunny bit by bit - the ears, the tail, the nose, the head, the torso - and still call yourself a kind person.

  15. I really want to see one of those Dugger kids rebel!

I agree with everything you have said here, I had no idea who Justin Bieber was until my 6 year old went on and on about him! to funny!

  16. I can't agree MORE on Duggar, Justin, Ricky, Bunnies and the vajazzled0- WTH?

    ReplyDelete
  17. Hey, it's ok to still be wearing the some of the same clothes you wore when you were pregnant (even though your "baby" is two)!

    ReplyDelete
  18. LOL! I agree with so many of these...PS, I gave my kids pizza for dinner yesterday after giving them candy all day the day before....

  19. Oh I hope the Duggar children rebel too! That'd make for some great entertainment!

And I saw Justin Bieber on Chelsey Lately and seriously- the kid is a jerk.

  20. Wouldn't it be awesome if one of the Duggar girls showed up wearing PANTS? Think of all the chaos that would cause in that household.

  21. how could ANYONE NOT KNOW that ricky was gay...

    ooooh!!!

totally with you on a duggar kid.. i don't want them to do anything too terrible or go to jail... just you know, something to rock the boat a bit!!!

  22. You could always go for the Blue Betty if that won't scare the hubby!

My grand daughter wants to have Justin Bieber's babies. She's 13. Who is this little twerp?

    You are hysterical Lady!

  23. I decided to do "Hey it's Okay Tuesday," too... thanks for the inspiration and I hope that's "okay" with you!!

PS -- Are there any guys who actually dig the vajazzling thing? Haha.

    ReplyDelete
  24. i am still laughing over the cooter comment and that is all i need to say.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I'm affeared to Google vajazzle. I can use my imagination to what it is, though, lol!

Aren't cloth dipes too cute? Couldn't they put a cute print on sposies?

HA! I was raised in a church that was just. Like. The. Duggars. Seriously. I rebeled (ran away and married my hubby-love, ha!). It'll happen. Probably with one of the younger girls.

  26. I'm so with you on those Duggar kids...seriously? How do they get them all to sit still for those Today show interviews? They must put something in their juice boxes!

And not only the Justin Beiber thing, but what the hell is with his hair??? And why is it like the male version of the "Rachel" that I had in the 90's????

Love your blog, I'm your latest follower!

  29. Aren't the Duggar kids a cult?

I know, I am happy and sad, but mostly sad about no more Spring Break...or is it mostly happy?

My daughter HATES Justin Bieber and I just don't get all of the fuss!

Butt baby?! I can't wait to share that one at the dinner table!

    ReplyDelete
  30. Vajazzling would crack my husband up.

I can't wait for Army Wives!

Love the one about the Duggars.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Out of 19 there has got to be at least one child to rebel in the Duggar family right?!

    ReplyDelete
  32. I am with you on the Duggars, Jusitn Bieber, chocolate bunnies and Ricky Martin.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Hey - it's okay to LOVE your HEY IT'S OKAY Tuesdays!

Re: Army Wives - I love that show, too. but c'mon, YOU don't live that way? Why not?

re: Duggar children - Maybe they'll all be sick and tired of sharing and not want to procreate. One can hope.

I don't get the whole tweeting thing. I can barely keep up with blogging.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Is it okay that I just had to look up the term 'vajazzle' even though the word basically defines itself? Is it just me or do people keep getting WEIRDER and WEIRDER!??

    ReplyDelete
  35. OMG. I am so freaken happy I am not the only one who hopes one of the Duggar children rebels. I have been wishing for it for ages.

The problem is that the brainwashing is just too good. I will, if I have children, take a leaf out of their book - maybe not the bible and creationinst books - but brainwash my kids to the extent they do as they are told!

However I just don't think I could lie for that long!

Chocolate bunnies are good for lunch ANY day of the week!

    ReplyDelete
  36. Thank you!!!! Finally, there is someone else in this world not ashamed to say "Justin Beiber...WTF?"

Seriously, I fail to see what's so great about him. He still sounds like he's 10 years old and I can't stand the way he wears his hair.

Yet all the tweeny boppers love him. I just don't get it.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Love this idea and chocolate bunnies are truly yummy for any meal. Ricky Martin, I think we all knew, or did we?

    ReplyDelete
  38. Hi, all of the things you were okay with are things I totally agree with too!

    ReplyDelete
  39. I hope all the Duggars rebel. That family creeps me out.

    ReplyDelete
  40. The only thing about Justin Bieber is that he's Canadian. Other than that, no idea.

And I love the one about a Duggar child rebelling. You've gotta think, statistically speaking, at least one of them HAS to become a drug dealer or prostitute. Or both.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Seriously with the Justin Bieber thing. What the heck? I guess since I am not a 12 year old girl I just don't get it.
And the vajazzling? Seriously, what's next?

    ReplyDelete
  42. Can't wait for one to rebel!! And everyone knew he was gay!
