Hey, It's Okay Tuesday!

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. They have a section called Hey, It’s Okay and will list a bunch of things to be okay about. I think I’m going to do this every Tuesday now. You're welcome to join in and do something like this on your diary. Doesn't have to be on a Tuesday either.

Hey, It's Okay....

To be a total klutz. (I was a klutz before being a klutz was cool. I still say to this day that I inspired Hollywood to have actors run into glass doors. I totally did this when I was younger. Was not my best hour.)

To be a little bitter that Charlie Sheen is getting 1.9 million dollars an EPISODE for his work on Two and half men. So the lesson is, be a total asswad and get the big bucks?

To wonder why some people don’t wear seatbelts.

To be a little bummed that Ghost Whisperer got cancelled. Hey CBS, I was WATCHING that. (Though rumor has it that ABC might take the show. Come on ABC!)

To enjoy watching Full House even though it’s cheesy. Sometimes you need a little "You Got It Dude," in your life.

To wonder how people can cut out soda from their diets. My first thought when I hear someone has done this is to shout, “WHY? For the love of chocolate WHY?” Kudos to those people though. I could never do it.

To wonder how people can drink blended up wheatgrass. It tastes like…well, GRASS. I don’t care if it’s healthy. No, no, and no.

To hope that Sex and the City 2 will be entertaining. I don’t get most of the fashion in it though. I couldn’t wear half the things that Carrie puts on without looking like a total fool.

To be insulted that Gymboree didn’t bother to send you a 40% off coupon—I mean hello, I shop there all the time, I should be given a coupon for my loyalty. Maybe I’ll start looking elsewhere (hello Gap!)

To have covered your eyes for a lot of the season finale of Grey’s Anatomy. I mean, was that a roller coaster ride or what?

To have been totally confused over the finale of Lost to the point where you had to go online and have a stranger explain it to you. (Thank you to the author of this site.)

  1. not ok on the Charlie Sheen. I'm something like that for my Flip Off Friday.

Loved your post tho. I might have to start doing that, if it's ok with you

  2. I lost count of the amount of *gasps* I made during Greys.... I think it could have been a stand alone movie to be honest....

I quit drinking sodas every once in a while... not a want to thing unfortunately!

  3. We watch Full House every morning here. Sometimes I like to say "How RUDE!" when I come downstairs and find we're watching the same episode we just saw, but gah, the other day, they ran the episode where the gang watched Danny's video of when his dead wife brought Michelle home from the hospital because the girls were missing their mom, and dang if I didn't feel a little teary eyed at the end!

    ;)

  4. Thanks for the ones about soda and wheatgrass! I could totally relate!

  5. I jumped every time a shot was fired on Grey's. Jumped and covered my eyes.

As for soda-denouncing people? Crazy. They're just crazy.

  6. They are cancelling Ghost Whisperer? Dammit. I kind of liked that show. A good Friday night show to DVR and then watch while entertaining my daughter at the ungodly hour of 7 AM on Saturday. I am still emotionally unwraught from watching Grey's last night. It took me HOURS to fall asleep.

  7. Klutzs unite - together we can fall down!

  8. I can't believe he makes that much an episode. I love the show, but that's a little bit excessive!

  9. I am also bummed that Ghost Whisperer was cancelled. I've been watching that show since it first started, and I'm not ready for it to go away yet!! I'm hoping ABC will pick it up.

And Charlie Sheen? Ick. As Natalie would say, "I don't YIKE it!" Not one bit.

  10. I just don't get diets period where a whole foodgroup or even something that isn't a foodgroup is cut out totally..I mean, come on people...we gotta have some pleasure!

  11. No one is worth a million dollars or more for a week's "work".

Our society is really warped with the salaries paid to pro sports, actors, and singers - who by and large are the worse role models one can find.

    I better quit now -

  12. I love the part on Full House where one of the girls gets in trouble and Danny or Uncle Jesse sits down to have special talk with them and the music plays. So freaking awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  13. I too was bummed when they cancelled Ghost Whisperer... hopefully ABC will pick it up. That would make my day!

  14. Gosh, I think I may be the only person who hasn't seen the Grey's finale. Still hafta catch up. As for Ghost Whisperer...WHAT?! Hey, I was watching that too!! Why is it that they cancel all the good stuff?? And as far as Two and Half Men, I really only think Jake is funny. And Charlie IS an asswad. In real life AND on the show.

  15. I have seen every episode of LOST.

    The end totally LOST me.

They were all dead all along, right?

I mean, come on. The conspiracy geeks online had been saying that all along.

  16. I loved Full House and I could never give up my Coke Zero or Diet Coke. Ever. (Though I've tried...so many friggin times...)

    ReplyDelete
  17. Rooting for ABC! Love Ghost Whisperer. Full house gets me through my mornings before work. I love your It's Ok posts!

  18. Justin Bieber banging his head was the best tv clip all week. And it was totally awesome that Inside Edition kept playing it. Over and over. And over...

I have a feeling Sex and the City 2 is going to be lame. (I hope not.)

    ReplyDelete
  19. LOL My two are klutz. Pretty sure they get that from their momma.

    Yeah, I'm bitter. asswad.

    No joke! Hello!

Come on ABC! I love that show.

    Thanks for the reassurance. :D

It's hard. I laughed reading someone's comment saying it's hard to cut out a food group. Caffeine should be added to the food pyramid. :D

    YECH! Never have tried wheatgrass.

Never even watched a single episode of Sex in the City. :)

    LOL You have an addiction.

Never watched a single episode of Greys. :)

Never watched a single episode of Lost and after skimming your link, I have no desire to ever venture into that story line.

  20. You can have my soda when you pry it from my cold dead hand....said in my very best Charlton Heston voice.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I'm not very hopeful for SATC 2, I have to say. I didn't think the first one was great, and the second one just looks painful.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I am totally with you on the seatbelts. I'm also amazed at the number of young people who smoke with all the information we have on the possible consequences.

    ReplyDelete
  23. wow! i had no idea charlie got payed that much for the show.. really is irritating....

and even now.. 5 days later.. i still have an anxiety attack when i think of greys anatomy... total kicker!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  24. I totally stopped drinking soda over a year ago. At first it was because I wanted to see if I could do it, but now it's because it makes me feel weird, lol. When I first did it, I was tweaking out a little.

And yes, Charlie Sheen is a totally gross, disgustingly overpaid assface.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I'm a klutzy, soda drinkin (and never denying myself of it), fan of Two and a Half Men who is appalled that anybody would pay Charlie Sheen that much money!

Great post - you should make it into a meme!

    ReplyDelete
  26. I'm a klutz - G is a klutz already. poor kid

    charlie sheen is Douchebag

    ReplyDelete
  27. Love this!
I googled explanations of the lost finale first thing Monday morning... and though I get what they are all saying, I am still a bit lost.

I am also excited about SATC2--I did not see the first one in the movie theater (I had actually never seen any of the tv shows!!--the tv re-runs became my go to feel good shows when I was going through my divorce, and I saw the first movie last year!).

  28. 1. I don't drink soda hardly ever! I do it because I have hypoglycemia, so the sugar makes me feel not so good, and the fake sugar in diet soda is just very bad for it. I do succumb to a good root beer or Shirley Temple occasionally... when I'm feeling especially weak. :P

    2. I have to have other people explain the Lost finale too. I get it now, though!

    ReplyDelete
  29. (from my not posted yet blog today)
I have decided that the finale was like a brand new bottle of wine you have never tasted before.
The first sip you wonder was that a bit bitter? Did it go down wrong? I can't believe I am not sure if I like this or not.....
The second sip however... you realize how good the wine actually is. That it is actually a perfect bottle. That it was exactly what you didn't know you wanted.

I started a Save Ghost Whisperer page on facebook I was so upset that CBS cancelled it.

  30. Charlie Sheen is an idiot. Who the hell even watches that show?

Grey's was SO intense!! I cried, and almmost peed my pants!

I havent watched Lost yet, waiting for the Hubs to watch it with me. Maybe he can explain it to me!

    ReplyDelete
  31. ughhhhh i can't believe he's getting that much per episode!!! i didn't even know people watched that anymore!!

    ReplyDelete
  32. I truly dislike the taste of soda. I can honestly say I have had less than 20 sodas in my life.

Grey's? Was unbelieveable. My stomach muscles literally hurt afterwards because I was so tense.

I never got into Lost, but I heard about the ending and my friends who watch it were satisfied. I have been waiting to see what you think :)

    ReplyDelete
  33. What? What the heck is the matter with Gymboree? Sounds like a conspiracy to me.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I love your "It's OK" I always find one that is me.

    Today, it's the soda one.

Yeah, I know, how do they just not drink soda???

    ReplyDelete
  35. I love Full House, even if it is cheesy! I've never been a soda drinker, weird, I know. I don't really know why, but I guess it's because my mom never kept it around. When I'm thirsty soda makes me feel more thirsty. I literally go months without a sip of soda. Every once in a while I drink some of my husband's. :)

    ReplyDelete
  36. Im a klutz too...I have fallen off a treadmill, broken my own toe while falling, and walked into a screen door

    ReplyDelete
  37. Too funny! I've gotta steal "for the love of chocolate..." OMG funny!

    ReplyDelete
  38. Amber, half the things Carrie puts on look ridiculous on HER.

  39. Man, Charlie Sheen just makes me mad!

    ReplyDelete
  40. per usual you made my tuesday..

But I'm "one of those people" this time.. I haven't drank soda in almost 2 months!

    ReplyDelete
  41. I am reviewing the SAC2 Soundtrack as I type this. It is good so far! A few songs a little strange but I know fit in the movie.

My daughter loves Full House! She watches it every Saturday morning.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Grey's was freakin' awesome! And that is SO my new favorite saying . . . "Oh for the love of chocolate!"

    ReplyDelete
  43. Concerning that soda stuff... my parents practically raised me (and my sisters) on that stuff. I don't think we ever drank anything else. Then I started reading up on food and discovered all the things inside sodas, and these days I hardly ever touch them. (Sometimes you need a little junk in your life, but I prefer pizza or chocolate, much more effective. *g*) Same for my sisters. Funny thing is, all of us prefer water now. Plain water. You know, fish swim in it. (^v^)

    ReplyDelete
  44. Charlie Sheen is an ass. And Grey's was CRAZY!!!

    ReplyDelete
  45. OH NO...Ghost Whisperer got cancelled??? I LOVE that show. Crap! How did I not hear that? First Without a Trace and now this, this sucks!

Grey's Anatomy was the best season finale so far this year...so good!

Charlie Sheen's show is lame. So is he.

Diet coke is my crack. Could never ever give it up. At least I drink diet right?

    ReplyDelete
  46. funny thing is that i don't watch or didn't watch LOST, cannot stand 2 1/2 Men and love Ghost Whisperer...What is up with that.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I was wondering what you'd say about the finale of Lost! I haven't watched the episodes but people on the radio this morning were quite angry!

I haven't watched Grey's yet but was sitting close to a cowoker who was. It has to be bad 'cause she was cussing the whole time!

    ReplyDelete
  48. Great idea for a post. There's an award for you at my site.

    ReplyDelete
  49. ha, bella swan made being a klutz cool you know... LOL you crack me up..

    ReplyDelete
  50. TOTALLY on all of those! Well, except for the Full House one. Bob Sagat scares me.

  51. It better be OK to be a klutz since last night I practically knocked myself out in the shower (have the goose-egg to prove it) and then just this morning got caught in the screen door....*sigh* story of my life.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I don't think anyone looks good in those outfits on SATC2, not even Carrie. Patricia Fields has them all drinking the Koolaid.

    ReplyDelete
  53. I watch Full House too. I have the whole series on DVD. Hope that is okay.
I am sorry but I don't drink soda. I hope that is okay too.

    ReplyDelete
  54. I couldn't sleep after the Grey's finale! I missed the Lost finale as Hubs deleted it from the dvr. Yes, we're still married.

    ReplyDelete
  55. all good to me as well! Klutz? Um, the scabs on my body tell me the same story.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Ah yes, we all need a little Full House now and then...have mercy!

  57. just wanted to comment. Not that I have anything witty to add. just needed to type hello. So. Hello. Hi.

  58. Soda? Chocolate? Water is the life? I am still so confused.

    ReplyDelete
  59. CSheen is a total dbag. And I am going to a Sex and the City 2 premiere tonight..cant wait. And yes, I hope it is good.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Charlie Sheen is a bigger douchebag than Mario Lopez!!! And that my friend, is really sayin something!!

    I like your Tuesday lists!!!

  61. I'm a total klutz too! Love it! Thanks for sharing!

  62. I'm in the process of cutting soda out of my diet. The process is slow - cut out at certain locations, one at a time, first the house I'm working on, then the apartment, then work. Don't move to the next location until you are used to the present location.

Substitute with something non-cola, yet very cola-esque, like Gatorade (I like the Rain series). You get the experience of buying a soda without the guilt. And you don't miss as much sugar.

Switch from Gatorade to sweet tea or a powdered drink, like lemonade or koolaid. Gradually GRADUALLY decrease the sugar until it's half of what it calls for.

Do it that way, and it's actually not TOO bad. But beware - drinking a soda or full strength drink after getting acclimated is dangerous.

And as for Charlie Sheen, I like him. I'd never DATE him, but he embraces the fact he's an ass and doesn't make apologies for it. I appreciate his honesty, if that makes sense.

  63. Whew! Last week I was off on a couple, but this week I agree 100%. All is right with the world again.

    ReplyDelete
  64. For the record, I stopped drinking Diet Dr. Pepper, which I am ADDICTED TO, about two weeks ago. I heard all the studies about how bad it is for you, yada, yada, yada. I still miss it. Now I'm drinking Lipton Diet Green Tea.

Grey's Anatomy - OMG - great episode but c'mon - the shooter - he was like the crazy axe murderer in one of those slasher movies. Takes a licking and keeps on ticking. That part was a little hokey. But the rest? Great.

Lost? I gave up on it 2 seasons ago.

I read that Charlie Sheen is the HIGHEST PAID TV ACTOR EVER. That is just wrong.

  66. I haven't admitted this to anyone... But I was *so* happy when the first 'live action' show my 6-year-old asked to watch was 'Full House' after we watched one together. There is nothing sweeter than dodging a Miley Cyrus bullet.
