Hey, It's Okay Tuesday!

**I'm posting this early since I'll be traveling tomorrow. I'm gone for the week so I'll post when I can!**

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. They have a section called Hey, It’s Okay and will list a bunch of things to be okay about. I think I’m going to do this every Tuesday now. You're welcome to join in and do something like this on your diary. Doesn't have to be on a Tuesday either.

Hey, It's Okay....

To think Amanda Bynes who retired from acting at the ripe age of 24, will return to the acting world in a matter of years.

To be a pretty crappy packer. Seriously, if I visit my Mom she usually refolds everything for me.

To be excited to visit Wilmington, North Carolina because Dawson’s Creek was filmed there. I could pass a spot and be all, “That’s Joey’s wall that Pacey bought for her!”

To also be excited to visit Wilmington, North Carolina because the area reminds me of a Nicholas Sparks novel. I’ve already said Tom can pretend to be Noah from The Notebook and I’ll naturally be Allie. He says no, that his name is Tom thank you very much and he’s not about to pretend to be someone else. Rude.

To be scared of flying. I shut my eyes when the plane first takes off because the experts say the first ten minutes of takeoff is the most important—if you pass ten minutes, then you’ll probably be okay.

To avoid the airplane bathrooms. The silver toilet can be quite traumatizing.

To want to beat up that guy in the Staples commercial that shrieks, “That’s a low price!”

To have totally called the breakup between Jake and Vienna (they were on The Bachelor.) Oh, and to be nosy and wonder what happened. Rumors say Vienna cheated. Totally not surprised.

To have to remember NOT to stick a bite of food in your mouth while visiting your husband’s family since they pray before they eat.

To know that you could never be on The Amazing Race ‘cause traveling makes you a tad cranky.

  2. I used my first airplane potty this morning! I held it for as long as I could stand, but I had to go in there! My question: how does anyone use that place to join the Mile High Club?!?

  3. North Carolina is beautiful! Try to get to Top Sail Beach while you're there.

  9. My father has packing the trunk down to a science. I'm thinking of taking lessons.

And, "that's a low price" is annoying enough on the TV. It's worse when reinacted ten times a day by my 10 year old!

  10. I heard Jake and Vienna broke up because he was only affectionate when the cameras were on them. And that he just wanted some publicity to get his "acting career" going. Who knows though?

    Have a great vacation!

  14. I always tell the hubby that we should do the Amazing Race...I'll drive and he can navigate b/c he's too slow & I always second guess a map. But I don't think we would survive the stress!

Enjoy your vacation, I lived about an hr from Wilmington for 6 yrs. Great area!

  18. We pray before we eat and sometimes I still forget and take a bite. So don't feel too self conscious, sometimes ya get really hungry. I am going to add that its ok to forget not to take a bite!

  22. Have a great trip... It's okay to have a great trip :)

We pray before we eat but because I am the chief cook and bottle washer I snack before dinner. I cheat and it's okay.

I may have to steal this Tuesday idea from you. It's okay, right?

  23. Oh boy, I hope your flight went well and that you didn't have to pee while you were on the plane!

  24. I would also like to beat up my husband, daughter and quite a few other people who feel the need to shriek "That's a low price!" thanks to that insipid commercial.

    Have a great trip!

  25. Have fun on your trip! I always close my eyes and put my headback during take off. Freaks me out to see the horizon tilt...messes with my tummy.

  26. If you hate the "that's a low price" guy, you have to see the Free Beer and Hotwings stunt where they send their producer to a staples to act it out. He even humps the floor over a great price. I'm pretty sure you can still watch it on their morning show website.

  27. I haven't watched the bachelor in years. I totally did last season and HATED Vienna. ugh so immature. Now I'm hooked on seeing who Ali will choose.
And randomly, I know a couple who were on the last amazing race - I grew up with Cannon, and he is not a nice person, so I watched them until they lost. Then I felt happy and stopped watching the show. I know I know, I'm mean.
Last thought, I promise: I am terrified that while using an airplane bathroom we will hit turbulance. ew.

    HAVE FUN on your trip!

  28. I hate the Staple guy too and I love The Notebook. I seriously beg my husband to watch it with me all the time.

  29. Enjoy the beach! You are going to a really nice one. I hope the weather cools off some so you don't bake though.

  30. hahaha that's so funny. I'd love to do the amazing race but yeah, I think I'd be too bitchy and crabby. I always think "man those people look like idiots and then oh yeah I would too"

  32. I wish you hadn't told me the first 10 minutes of a flight. I thought it was count slowing to 100.

  33. I totally loved this idea so I used it on my blog as well, thanks to you and thanks to you reading Glamour!

  34. My dad used to fly in the AF and he once told me, "Any idiot can take off." That became my mantra whenever I got on a plane.

    Have fun in Ohio!

  35. Have a fun trip! :) (I get excited for NC for the same reasons ;))

  36. Visiting from Things I Can't Say! Hope you have a fabulous time in Wilmington. If you want to visit the true inspiration for most of Nicholas Sparks' NC-based novels, just head 5 hours North of Wilmington to the Outer Banks. Oh yeah, the Wright Brothers flew here too! And Rodanthe Nights was filmed here. And so much more.
