Things That Make Me Go Huh?

The way Tyler from Teen Mom dresses. Does anyone else want to knock off those sideways hats that he wears?

Why Max was attacking my slippers…at first…then I saw there was something in them and was to hurl said slipper out my front door. Thankfully I realized it was Tommy’s plastic grasshopper and not a real one.

The fact that Natalie always tries to take her water with her to preschool. Sweets, they’ll offer you milk, I promise.

Why this dude always parks his car right in the entry way of the Cul De Sac that he doesn’t even live at. He lives across the street and has a perfectly good driveway.

How to put together Transformers. Tom used to fix them but he obviously can’t do that now. I’m tempted to put an ad in the paper that reads: “Wanted: person who can transform Transformer toys level 3 and above.” Or maybe I’ll just send all the Transformers to Tom in Korea and he can transform them and send them back.

  1. The plastic grasshopper TOTALLY freaked me out before I read the word "plastic."

  2. I'm so not a fan of plastic bugs - they always look so real! My stepdaughter has a collection of plastic spiders for Halloween. Ugh.

  3. My cat was totally playing with a REAL horned beetle this weekend and was quite miffed when I used the newspaper to sling it out the door. I would have much preferred a plastic one!

  4. I just want to slap everyone on that Teen Mom show...

  5. I feel you on the guy who doesn't park in his own driveway. In fact I might strike up a fake friendship so that could inquire about that.
    Hmmmm.

  6. Yeah, I would have screamed seeing that grasshopper.

I don't know who that kid is, but I'd grab his hat and smack him with it. Oh. Is that child abuse?

  7. What I realized when I seen your picture of Tyler?

    We should be besties!

:) We could watch Teen Mom and make fun of everyone together. :)

  8. I 2nd the Tyler thing. I love that show but between his dress code issues and Farrah's childish acting momma I could scream!!! Oh! AND the way Catlynn's mom treats her too!!!!

  9. Ah, yes. Things that make me do more than just say huh. LOVED your guest post today! Thanks so much for participating in the blog hop! :)

  10. You know, I only recently became aware that there is a lot of talk about how Tyler dresses.

Have people seen what teenagers where these days? Honestly, he is a typical, normal teenager.

  11. uh yea... that 'grasshopper' woulda freaked me out too.. looks real enough!!

  12. lol Those plastic bugs get me all the time!

I cant do those Transformers either. How do they expect kids to do those stupid things? We have several that are now broken cause mommy cant transform them. Oops!

  13. transformers are totally not my thing. I really hope they go out of fashion again by time The Boy is old enough for toys like that.

  14. I think I'd start leaving notes on that car. Subtle nice ones in the begining and if that doesn't make him move it I'd start to be real blunt! ;-)

  15. The transformers seriously confuse the living crap out of me. I gave up a long time ago on those things.

So, I found you from doing the guest blogging post. LOVED your post! It's funny because my nephew's mom is the 'he only eats organic foods' type and I just have to nod and smile and remind myself.... it's okay that I'm not THAT mom, because I will never be THAT mom, and my kids still love the crap out of me.

So it works. I'm a new follower!

  16. I am wondering why they even have all these teen parents shows on - for crying out loud kids, keep your legs together and your pants zipped!

    ReplyDelete
  17. Love your drawings and arrows! =]

I have no idea how to work those Transformers, they are too confusing.

  18. haha - I would have wanted to toss the slipper out the door too if I had seen that.

Also love that she tries to take her water to school - that is too cute.

  19. Teen mom?
But if Tom fixes, as soon as they get back they will be retransformed.

  20. I cant tell you how many times I saw one of my oldest daughters plastic bugs on the floor and screamed like a sissy la-la

    ReplyDelete
  21. Oh yeah. I have learned that when the cats are going insane, that usually means there is a bug present and that's my cue to hide in the bedroom until they take care of it. :)

  22. Like The Boob Nazi, I had to look carefully at that grasshopper ...

  23. That car thing is really, really weird.

  24. Gah! The Transformer figures! You are definitely not alone in not being able to figure those out! They are the only toys I keep the instruction sheets for, thinking they'll help me at the inevitable point I'll be asked to help. Nope. Never have. I dread those dang things!

  26. I'm thinking that the guy who always parks in the cul de sac, a block away from his driveway, has either bad tags, or is late on his car note.

    ReplyDelete
  27. The way that kid from Teen Mom dresses makes me crazy. I also LOVE (not really) his giant chains he rocks. Awesome.

Also? Your neighbors car parked in the worng cul-de-sac is bugging me- all the way out in NC!!

  28. Ahhahaha, my husband won't let me near a transformer anymore because I screw them up to the point that it takes 40 minutes to get them back into some recognizable form.

If we lived closer, I'd definitely volunteer him to help untransform the transformers!

    ReplyDelete
  29. I really should watch Teen Mom because I think the idea is great in a don't let this happen to you preventative way, but now that shot of the stupid sideways hat's gone and scared me off. Does he keep the price tags and stickers on too? Because when I see kids do that I want to shout "Minnie Pearl" at them. And I bet the Tsaritsa hit the weird nail on the head re: parking guy.

  30. My hubs yells at him to turn around his hat every time he's on the screen. HA!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Those transformers are nothing but a headache!!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Maybe Natalie doesn't Yike the milk at nursery. I know I didn't.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I hate transformers...lego's this mom can handle! :)

    ReplyDelete
  34. OK I have to ask. Is the not parking in the driveway thing a military thing?? I never encountered such a thing anywhere I've lived off base or before I met Stephen. When we were at Scott, we had a dire parking situation because people did not want to park in their drive and same thing here at Keesler. In fact, the guy directly across the street will not park in his driveway, but on the street blocking his drive sometimes, but only when he can't steal the parking in front of our house because it's full. His house doesn't face my street, but rather a different street that intersects right in front of my house and he will never park on his own street...only ours. Weirdos.

  35. LOL about the grasshopper and poor Natalie worrying that she is not going to get anything to drink at preschool. Sorry about the transformers - maybe one of your son's friends or friend's dads can fix them for you. Yes, I too love funnel cakes and was happy to see them there last weekend - they were as yummy as they looked but could have used more powdered sugar perhaps! LOL Have a great day! xoxoxo

  36. That hat makes me want to smack him. Seriously.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I can never transform the tranformers either. I have to tell Michael to wait for his father. I even found direction once and still couldn't do it. Good luck with that one.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I would have been tossing the slippers out too! lol I will send Son to fix your transformers for you. His therapist wants to keep him just so he fixes the ones in the play room for her.

    ReplyDelete
  39. When you find that gay friend - make sure he knows how to transform transformers.

    :)

    ReplyDelete
  40. Well you know those Transformers, they're more than meets the eye. ;P Wow, that was lame and yet I made myself giggle. That says so much about me. Sigh.

    ReplyDelete
  41. You should see me when I put my pizza hut cap on sideways. Let me help you visualize: I'm a white girl, and not gangster at all. :) It's pretty hilarious.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I hope Tommy got into some type of trouble for the attempt at torment. It is so not cool to play a practical joke like that on someone like you. What if you had put your foot in there? Hello? Heart attack = orphaned children . . .
