Things That Make Me Go Huh?

There are a lot of strange things that go on in the world. The following are some of the pictures that made me go “huh?”

Natalie’s giant Rapunzel doll has been known to freak me out. I saw this from the corner of my eye and was all, “Ahhh! Blond Yeti!” Then I thought, “Cousin It?”

This guy, from Yo Gabba Gabba. He does Biz’s Beat of the Day. He scares me.

I don’t get why the Paparazzi is wasting its time taking photos of the Teen Mom stars. It really baffles me. They’ve really don’t do anything to warrant the attention. Same with the Jersey Shore cast. Sometimes I really don’t get America.

Don’t these look good? I mean, I love Lucky Charms so I thought, why not?

Can you believe there are people who haven’t seen Amadeus? It’s a wonderful movie about Mozart. Bonus? Mozart’s laugh.

I came across this little snippet in my Parenting magazine (the one with Kourtney Kardashian on the cover. I’m still baffled about that.) Anyway. In case you can’t see it, it says that “kids from about 18 months to 4 years are simply hardwired to misbehave.” Help. Help me, now. (She types as her three-year-old daughter streaks across the house naked screaming at the top of her lungs.)

  1. Lucky charms treats are good and so are the chex mix choclate ones. I have to keep them only for the little one though or else we would have none (because I ate them all). I guess the parenting thing can't count for my five year old continually spraying her hair with conditioner until she looks like I never bathe her...): Have a good day and stay away fromt hat doll.

  2. That IS a freaky doll! I was in my kitchen washing dishes one night, and both boys were upstairs playing. I walked past the dining room only to see Woody (from Toy Story) laying on the floor. How the hell did he get there?!

  3. I needed a good laugh this morning...

I don't get the whole fascination with Teen Moms or Jersey Shore, but for some reason...I watch both...religiously.

It makes me feel better about who I am.

  4. The doll makes me think of the girl from The Ring. ahhhh

  5. That doll is scary. Can't you tell her to keep it in her room?

And I don't get the Teen Moms thing either.

  6. That doll is beyond scary and Biz Markie is on Yo Gabba Gabba? As if this world wasn't screwed up enough.

  8. That doll IS freaky. I don't think I could have it in my house.

I LOVE Amadeus, LOVE IT! However, what is with that wierd cover art? i don't get that at all.

The American public is just retarded. Seriously....I will NEVER understand the fascination with all things Kardashian, teen Mom, Jersey Shore and more. They all just make us DUMBER.

  11. Love your post. You & me have similar thoughts ;-)
I love Amadeus!! Can't stand Teen Mom & especially Jersey Shore (most MTV shows in general), Yo Gabba Gabba is very strange.

  12. Hey, I'm watching Teen Mom right now!

  13. Amadeus is like softcore porn. I remember watching it in music class in Junior high and thinking, "I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY ARE LETTING US WATCH THIS IN SCHOOL! SWEET! THIS DUDE WAS A PLAYA!"

And what is it with little girls and their refusal to keep their clothes on. My daughter is constantly doing that.

Just showing that every woman starts out with the potential to be a stripper.

  14. That Lucky Charm bar does not make me go huh? It makes me go "Why didn't they think of this sooner?!"
And yes, that doll freaks the crap out of me.

  19. My daughter is 5 so why is still misbehaving...Those Lucky Charm bars look good.

  20. Granddaughter is five (almost six) and has calmed down a lot, but she still does random screaming things. So you only have another two or three years to go (unless you have more kids when someone gets back from somewhere)

  21. I'm betting it's also true that kids from 13-15 are hardwired to be a PITA too.

As for me, I'm breathing deeply until he hits 15 and starts to be human again.

  22. I loved that movie! I think that article should say children 10 mos to 18 years are hard wired to misbehave.

  23. Just blogging around this afternoon and found your blog. My husband is 20 year retired Air Force. We used to call deployments TDY's, and I remember they always came at an inconvenient time. Military life can be challenging but the rainbow at the end is the retirment check. So hang in there. You've done a great job with your page, thank you for letting me visit.

  25. I agree with "The American public is just retarded. Seriously...."

Just look at the folks we elect and send to Washington DC... case closed and point made.

  26. That doll would totally freak me out. I'm a child of the 80's...Chucky? Bride of Chucky?

My kids are too old to watch Yo-Gabba Gabba. The toys I've seen in the store frighten me a bit so I can imagine what watching the show is like.

The whole Teen Mom things makes me want to scream curse words like a sailor. What in the name of @#$@# makes these TV execs think that it would be a good thing to glamorize teen pregnancy?? I was a teen mom and it was so hard and so lonely. I've done well, but I'm one of the lucky ones. @#$@%^^!#$@!!

  27. Oh so THAT is what is wrong with my kids when they are throwing fits... it's thier hard wired nature... oh I get it now, now its all ok. LOL

Yo Gabba Gabba totally freaks me out. I see weird pedophiles in those costumes. Although, my niece is in complete love with the show.

I have to admit I watch Teen Mom & Jersey Shore, I catch clips of it on commercial or in a magazine & HAVE to watch. It completely disgusts me but I watch anyways. I know, I know something is totally wrong with me!!!

  28. I like that last little snippet- then I can blame my boys' behavior on something other than me.

    ReplyDelete
  29. What did that article say about teen behavior????

That doll makes me really, really glad I never had a girl so I wouldn't have to have stuff like that in my house.

    ReplyDelete
  30. 18 months to 4 years? That's a misprint, surely. I think it's meant to be 24.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Good to read about the misbehaving! I am all about blaming my kids behavior on anything but myself, lol! I sincerely believe that my little one is hard wired to misbehave. Nice to hear confirmation of that!

    ReplyDelete
  32. I've not seen Amadeus... I'm trying to remember if I'd even heard of it...

I'm with Fran... it must be until 24...

    ReplyDelete
  33. Dude. Natalie and her doll plus you crack me up! Plus Biz Markie is awesome!!!

  34. Doll = creepy!
And yes, I'm with you on the whole Teen Mom getting her pic in a magazine! Really? How come we aren't in a freaking magazine? We deserve it!
Oh, and those Lucky Charm bars...I bet we'll never get those in Canada, I'll have to make a special trip across the border!

    ReplyDelete
  35. We had to watch Amadeus in school and it was required. It's a must see!

    ReplyDelete
  36. Ahh, that Rapunzel doll IS scary! I don't think I'd get used to seeing that out of the corner of my eye either.

Are the Lucky Charms treats good? They look delish!

    ReplyDelete
  37. BBwwwwwahahahahaha! That first picture is hilarious!!!!! That would freak me out if I was walking though my house and saw a hairy monster. Well, it really would, considering I don't have a child.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I HATE the Yo Gabba Gabba dude. I hate, hate the show

    ReplyDelete
  39. Creepy doll.

And, who would have thought having a baby at 16 could make you famous?!?!?! And here I waited until I was 27.
    Stupid, stupid, stupid,...

  40. I totally agree on the Teen Mom/Jersey Shore thing. What a waste of paper and tv time.

    ReplyDelete
  41. The doll has a very The Ring look to it. Definitely creepy.

I've never seen Amadeus and I somehow find Biz Markie hilarious. I'm sorry, on both accounts.

  42. All of yo gabba gabba freaks me out. Why is there a one eyed monster?

    ReplyDelete
  43. Ha! For a minute I thought the Rapunzel doll was your daughter!

  45. I don't remember it very well, but I believe I was a perfect angel from 18 months to age four. A perfect angel. I've had a lot of making up for lost time to do.

    ReplyDelete
  46. You have got to get rid of that freaky doll.

    ReplyDelete
  47. You get the naked screamers too? Phew, thought it was just MY 2 kids :p

That Teen mom thing boggles my mind as well. Uhm, I thought teen pregnancy was looked DOWN on. It wasn't the best route in life, yadda yadda. Yet, here they are GLORIFYING it for all.

How much you wanna bet the stats for teen pregnancy in 2011 JUMP?

    ReplyDelete
  48. that doll is creepy. So is Yo gabba gabba. My mom bought the boys pjs with the green Yo Gabba Gabba monster. Creepy!
