Hey, It's Okay Tuesday!

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. They have a section called Hey, It’s Okay and will list a bunch of things to be okay about. You're welcome to join in and do something like this on your diary. Doesn't have to be on a Tuesday either.

----------------------

To have been saddened by the news of Elizabeth Taylor’s passing.

To really enjoy music from The Decemberists.

To think it’s funny that Natalie really wants to go on the show Wipeout.

To be bummed that Steve Carell is leaving The Office. So long as John Krasinski stays, I’ll continue to watch.

To be ready for Spring weather. This means the snow can piss off.

To hate when magazines post photos of “affordable” fashion and one shirt is like 100 bucks. That’s not affordable fashion. Affordable fashion is a shirt for 10 bucks. I don't know about anyone else but I'd never spend 100 on one shirt. Or maybe that just makes me cheap.

To have cried throughout most of the latest Army Wives episode to the point where I was scaring the cat.

To look forward to that new show on Showtime starting Sunday called The Borgias. If you liked The Tudors, you’ll probably like this.

To get annoyed when someone in the drive thru line orders 10 different things, with specific instructions. “One burger, no lettuce or mayo, one chicken sandwich, no tomato, a soda mixed with sprite and coke..”

To think the yellow Peeps taste the best.

  1. I don't even like Peeps, but I object to the new colors. Yellow rules.

I know exactly what you're talking about with the magazine fashions. So annoying!

  2. I agree a shirt for $100 is not affordable or reasonable enough for me. (Not even when I was working). Come on!! LOL.
I wish I had Showtime!! Damn it!! I'm re-watching The Tudors on BBC on Wednesdays right now.
And yes... If you're going to order several different things with specifics, please step inside ;-)

  3. Yea, 100 bucks for any one thing better be damn worth it and not just one top.

  4. The yellow peeps DO taste the best. I don't like any of the new ones. . . except that I do like the ones covered in dark chocolate.

My favorite peeps? Just a tiny bit stale. The texture is perfect that way.

  5. I agree. $100 is NOT an affordable shirt.

  6. Those affordable fashion things anger me. Do you know what I could do with $100?!

Also, the snow-you got it right. Piss off! Another blog I read wrote Puxatony Phil a letter and threatened his life. :P

  7. I hadn't heard about Liz Taylor yet...that is sad indeed! How did I miss that?! Living under my sewing machine apparently...

  8. I want to see your pictures of Natalie when she gets on "Wipeout"!

    LOL!

    :) Such a silly girl.

  9. I love the Decemberists! Especially the Apology Song- it's a classic. And I hate "affordable fashion" because it NEVER is.

  10. nope, you're not cheap if you won't pay $100 for one shirt... you're smart!! :o)

  11. I cried so hard Sunday evening, too! I was afraid it was the General that died, not Jeremy. What an amazing show!

Doesn't all Peeps taste the same?

  12. $100 for a shirt is NOT affordable!
I think its funn when my husband talks about going on Wipeout. I laugh at him and don't try to hide it haha

  13. Ahhh, I remember when The Office used to be good. And that was a while ago. I can imagine it will only be suckier without Michael.

  14. I hate when they list $100 tops in the 'affordable clothes' section. Affordable to who??

    ReplyDelete
  15. Of course the yellow peeps are taste the best.

    They are more life-like.

  16. What's even more annoying is when that person who orders a squillion things CHECKS all the bags to see if everything is AS ORDERED. And they don't even bother to pull forward and get out of the drive thru line. Hummph.

  17. I'd have a really hard time spending $100 on a shirt. I'm pretty cheap when it comes to clothes!

  18. My BF wants to get on Wipeout. I would love to see that video - every day forever. And I totally agree on the affordable fashion -who are they targeting?

    ReplyDelete
  19. I shouldve cried to army wives b/c im a sap, but I didnt for some reason... And those bargain spots in magazines, i mean seriously since when is $100 tops affordable!

  20. I love all of these. The good news, at least for me, is that it looks like Will Farrell is in. Upgrade!

    The Decemberists are awesome.

    Yellow Peeps: why change?'

I'll enjoy following you, I think.

  21. I say, if you want something custom, go to a sit down restaurant. Fast food places are just that... fast.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I was just all, wait! There's yellow Pepsi?!?! Ooooooh...peeps. Yum. I like mine COLD!

Oh my...the tears were definitely streaming during Army Wives.....can't imagine what it's gonna be like Thursday night for Grey's...

  23. and the $100 shirt is usually ugly. what magazine has the stuff for real people.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I agree, so sad to see Steve Carrell leave.
John Krasinki is such a cutie. I loved him in It's Complicated.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Oh, those "affordable" articles drive me crazy. THAT is not affordable.

And I can tell the difference in the colors of the Peeps. Even though my husband thinks I am crazy.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I don't get the whole "affordable" thing... appears to be frugal for someone who has a lot more to spend than me :)

    Yellow peeps rock!

    ReplyDelete
  27. 100 bucks for a shirt. That is ridiculous. I agree with you 10 bucks sounds good to me

    ReplyDelete
  28. once again, i agree with natalie one hundred percent. =) (about the wipeout) i think we would be grat friends =P

    ReplyDelete
  29. Omg I would never spend $100 on one shirt...unless it was a magic shirt, then I would politely ask for a discount. Magic is sometimes very tricksy.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I agree 100% about the "affordable" clothing. I mean, if I'm reading Vogue, okay, I expect that. And Oprah, well, whatever, I can't even begin to guess what is or is not affordable to her. But even Redbook editors must be insane with what they consider affordable. They know like normal women read their magazine, right??

    ReplyDelete
  31. Yellow. Peeps. Rock.

And if I eat enough of them my belly will blow up to be big enough to qualify as an obstacle on "wipeout".

    ReplyDelete
  32. I don't know anyone who thinks 100$ for a shirt is affordable. I'm glad you think so too.

    ReplyDelete
  33. John Krasinski is my dream guy...

I was just told that Will Ferrell is slated to be on the show- it just won't be the same...

    ReplyDelete
  34. The affordable one drives me crazy! Maybe affordable for millionaires!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Hey its ok that I deleted my recently deceased aunt from my Facebook because it creeps me out when I receive app requests from her!

    ReplyDelete
  36. To be HAPPY that Dionne got fired from Celebrity Apprentice!!!!! The witch is gone!!!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Argh! That "affordable" fashion crap drives me nuts!
I am going to have to be okay about being sad that Aiden Turner is leaving "Being Human" to go be a Hobbit.

Other than that, for me it's a "Meh" Tuesday.

    :)

  38. I KNOW! re: so called affordable fashion. Or they give really stupid and vague tips like: buy clothes that you can mix and match, or accessorize with a cute scarf to get more use of your current clothes. It's like- I'm not stupid. I just don't have that much money. Plus I don't like wearing scarves.
Once I watched this episode of Oprah where she was talking about jeans for every body type, and it was all like "well, you could have your tailor take them in a little." Like ya. Cuz we all have personal tailors.

And I'm totally the person that orders ten really complicated things in the fast food line up. It's just- I really don't like mayo or pickles or ketchup.
    Anyways, great post!

    ReplyDelete
  39. I don't like tomato, pickle, or onions AND I don't like getting out of the car. I'm the person you don't like, LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Have you seen the chocolate dipped peeps?? I havent tried them yet, but they look good. I always feel slightly mean when I eat a Peep. Maybe they shouldnt make them so cute.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Elizabeth Taylor's death feels like an era going by -- so sad. I watched a 2 hour Bio special on her and it was really good. She will be missed. I'm with you on the "affordable" fashion prices. Puhhhleeease! I love Peeps. Guess I'll have to buy a package of each color to try. =D

    ReplyDelete
  42. Ha! This is great! I'll be joining in next Tuesday lol

    ReplyDelete
  43. I agree completely on the affordable clothes one. Affordable is top and bottoms for under $50.
And yellow peeps do taste the best.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I <3 John Krasinski.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Sooooooooooo excited!! The Borgias sounds incredible!! I love Showtime!!! Especially when I can download episodes for free, lol!

Snow can and should piss off!!!

    ReplyDelete
  46. There is no way I could spend that much on a shirt! and yes, the snow can piss off. Enough already!

    ReplyDelete
  47. I LOVE the Decemberists. I got their vinyl for my hubby's bday present.

Also totally with you on the shirt...I would never spend that much. Of course it's been forever since I bought myself something and there isn't hardly a day I don't buy the kids something. lol

    ReplyDelete
  48. I am SOOO with you on the affordable fashion... $10 sounds about right to me! OK OK maybe a little more, but I am sure as hell not going to spend anywhere near $100!

    ReplyDelete
  49. I say PISS OFF to the snow too!!!

And I spend WAY LESS on my shirts....cause I buy them all at the thrift store! :)

And I cried through the whole Army Wives show on Sunday night too! OMG!
