Inside Natalie's Closet

It’s no secret that I love to buy clothes for my kids.

So occasionally I post pictures of them in their new outfit.

This one is from Gymboree’s Tahitian Butterfly line.

And...oops....

Anyone else’s kid have a problem with bottoms that fall down the waist? Thank goodness for an adjustable waist. Otherwise this would happen a lot.

So anyway.

Back to pictures.

Natalie is like, “So what do we think about Bristol Palin's new face?”

Then I asked her to be like a model and she did this:

I bought a matching ring to go with the outfit. I wanted Natalie to hold the ring up to her cheek and look into the camera.

This did not go well.

I kept trying to get her to hold it up to her cheek and she found it hilarious.

“Hold the ring up to my cheek? HA!”

I eventually gave up.

And oh, I stepped on that ring the next day. Barefoot. Yes, it hurt.

Poor pretty butterfly ring.

  1. I love your photo sessions with Natalie. She is so sassy, it reminds me of my daughter. It's always an ordeal to get photos of her. I borrowed your running into the house tactic to get a natural smile out of her yesterday, only it didn't work. Instead I had to repeat the word "booty" in funny voices. LOL

Gosh I get so envious of girlie girls.

  3. She is so cute!!! My daughter is a huge girly girl too! I love it and I love to buy her clothes too! And, of course you have to have the matching ring! Boy do those suckers hurt when you step on them!! I've done it too many times to count!! Great post!

  11. I'll bet they know you by name at Gymboree, don't they? I don't blame you though. If I had a little girl, especially one who loved the camera that much, I'd be the same way!

  19. My Brooke would love to get inside Natalie's closet! I used to dress her in Gymbo all of the time, matching outfits for her and her big sister. Somewhat of an obsession I think. :) Since her big sister is over it, Brooke gets her hand-me-downs, and will be outfitted til she's 8. I cannot even walk past the store.

What a little ham Naalie is!! Great smile. :)

  20. Such cute clothes! I have bought so many summer clothes for Maggie in the last few weeks it is ridiculous! Trying to get her to wear skorts as opposed to dresses every day since she still has a tendency to - you know - constantly lift her dress up.

  21. At least there was no running into the wall this time :)

  22. SO CUTE !! Makes me remember the days when my 15 yo daughter enjoyed dressing like that. She was a bean pole then (and still is) but they don't make adjustable waists past the preteen dept.
