Hey, It's Okay Tuesday!

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. They have a section called Hey, It’s Okay and will list a bunch of things to be okay about. You're welcome to join in and do something like this on your blog. Doesn't have to be on a Tuesday either. If you do it, make sure you link up! (And make sure when you link up, you actually have an Hey, It's Okay post up, please.)

-------------------

To not like that Modern Family aged baby Lily. She was one last season. She’s 3 or 4 now.

To have not bought the new iPhone.

To have eaten most of the Halloween candy I’ve purchased for Trick or Treaters. I need to get more.

To want the new Philippa Gregory book.

To hope to find a great deal on a Playstation 3 for Tom. That’s what he really wants for Christmas.

To hope that the missing baby (I think it happened in Kentucky) is found. The mother admitted she was drunk when it happened so who knows what all went on in that case.

To hate when reality show stars whine about not getting enough time with their family. Um, you can afford a nanny. You can make time.

To have been bummed that the pumpkin patch we went to DID NOT have apple cider. I love fresh apple cider. And no, I won’t make it myself. I’m lazy.

  1. I like the new Lily. The old one wasn't very talkative, but she was certainly older than 1! Considering the show was on for 2 years and she was about 1 when it started, she had to be approaching 3, believe it or not! They probably aged her about a year.

  2. We've been eating up all the Halloween candy around here too!

  3. It has never even occured to me that you could make apple cider! But I'm still just going to buy mine at the grocery store.

  4. I agree that the new Lily is a little bit older than what she should be, but she DOES talk!

Did you ever have an apple cider doughnut? It's the thing around here at pumpkin farms in the Midwest. They are TO.DIE.FOR.

I had a taste for tootsie rolls; we ended up buying three bags of candy which was gone in a matter of days. It's only the two of us. And, uh, yeah, there are NO trick or treaters around here.....remember we live full-time in our trailer and we're on the road. Unless those little rug-rats can run fast, there's no giving out of candy here!

  5. I don't have the new iPhone either. For that matter I don't have an iPhone. I hope they find that missing baby also.

  7. I think themed blog days should have some measure of alliteration associated with them.

    Wordless Wednesday
    Silent Sunday

This one seems to be missing that. That said, "It's okay: to think Victoria Justice makes good music because Nick is the only Network you watch, and therefore the only new music you're exposed to"

  8. She was dunk, but she doesn't have a drinking problem, nor could that have anything to do with it. :P

  10. I haven't had the chance to watch any of the new season of Modern Family yet... I'm not sure how I feel about it yet. :-/

  12. My hubby brought how some apple cider from the store the other day. It was the nastiest apple cider I've ever tasted. Hope you get the good stuff this year.

  13. I feel guilty for wanting the new Phillipa Gregory book! WHY? She is a good writer... a writer that just pulls you in and keeps you entranced... that is a good author... right? But she can border on soft porn. The Wildacres first book was so sick, I couldn't buy the second one because it made me feel like I was doing something wrong!

  14. Lily was actually one the first season and two the second season so it is right that she is 3. I find her less creepy now that she talks!

  15. I always want the new Phillipa Gregory books, she's awesome.

I hope they find that baby too, alive and well.

  16. What?! No apple cider at the pumpkin patch?! That's like having no cotton candy at the carnival! It's just wrong.

  17. I like the new Lily, but you're right... it always freaks me out a bit when shows age the kids so fast!

  24. I so don't love the Lily situation on Modern Family!

And I just finished the last of the candy I bought...oops! I'm thinking I'll wait until the 30th to buy more, so I don't have it in the house, also because I don't think we will get anyone here, but I can't not have candy!

  25. I hate to be the person correcting people, but the baby is from Kansas City Mo. It's so sad. And the story just keeps changing. I've want apple cider from a pumpkin patch! I've never even been to a pumpkin patch! I live in the desert :/

  26. Sadly I only own an iPhone 4, not a 4S, and I'm okay with that I guess, because I want an iPad instead......

  27. I'm not a fan of the new lily, either. She went from not talking ot being a sassy, mouthy little thing.

    No iphone here, either.

    Yummm apple cider.

  30. What a great idea for a link-up. I'll have to see if I can come up with some stuff.

No apple cider?? Crazy. And if I was in the U.S. right now, I would be right along side you with the Halloween candy. Eek. Although, I do prefer easter candy (robins eggs, and the reese peanut butter eggs? UGH, I am making myself crave something sweet now.

  35. Ok, I thought it was just me...I was wondering what happened to Lily! She was an adorable midget, now she's big and bratty...like my kid...I get enough of that in my house, why couldn't they have kept her small and cute a little longer?!

  36. I totally agree about Lily. The old one was adorable, and this one is just annoying.
