Hey, It's Okay Tuesday!

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. They have a section called Hey, It’s Okay and will list a bunch of things to be okay about. You're welcome to join in and do something like this on your blog. Doesn't have to be on a Tuesday either. If you do it, please link up and make sure the link is to your Hey, It's Okay post!

------------------

To love the white fudge chocolate covered Oreos that come out during the holidays.

To be hosting a giveaway for the new Harry Potter DVD tomorrow. Make sure you check it out!

To still crack up when I watch a Growing Pains rerun over the fact that Mike has as friend named Boner.

To feel bad for Rick Perry. I’ve stumbled in public before. Not fun. I’m guessing we won’t have a President Perry now.

To be bummed that McDonalds gave me a Peppermint Mocha instead of a Peppermint Hot Chocolate. I ranted about this on Twitter and have a McDonalds worker looking into it. Maybe I’ll get a coupon for a free hot chocolate then?

To love the stuff on Lakeside.com. You can find some affordable gifts on there.

To be dreading when Breaking Dawn comes out because then I have to endure all these Facebook posts about it. I try not to mock when people gush, but it’s very hard for me. Most people laugh off my comments but some people (the scary ones) get upset as though I’m insulting their boyfriend or something. Um?

To wonder why people are protesting the removal of the football coach at Penn State after her witnessed sexual abuse of a MINOR.

To get annoyed that Mariah Carey is on the cover of US Weekly gushing how she lost the baby weight in 3 months. Too bad we all can’t afford personal trainers and chefs.

  1. Oh yes!! So excited for the giveaway!! Also dreading Breaking Dawn coming out. How are people defending anyone involved in the Penn State scandal??? Being an award winning team is more important than a raped child? What is wrong with that picture?!?! Yes Mariah, you lost the weight. Good for you. Now could you send your team of personal trainers and chefs over to me for a month?

  2. I've never had the white fudge oreos. I saw them in the market yesterday and was tempted. You might have just pushed me over to trying them!

  3. White fudge oreos just sounds like a bad idea for me all the way around....as in they will just be way to good, I will eat way to many, and I will become round! Is McDonalds Peppermint Hot Chocolate better than their Peppermint Mocha? I am now off to check out Lakeside.com and see if I can maybe start some Christmas shopping, well for gifts that I have not messed up and already given! Stumbling in public really does stink...I mean people look at you like there is something wrong with you...come one people everyone has stumbled before!

  4. Who cares if she lost all that weight, she still has a big head and smiles like a Shreks donkey LOL. I am so mean.

  5. Don't hate me, but I'm not a fan of oreos. Unless they have been soaked in milk for an appropriate amount of time.

I'll have to check out lakeside.com

  6. Bwa Ha! I had forgotten about Boner! I loved that show.

I know what you mean about the crazy Twilight people. I read the books and have seen the movies but I'm not one of those scary, die hard fans. I'll see Breaking Dawn when the crowd dies down.

And A-MEN about those people rioting at Penn State. What about the innocent minor who was molested? Does anybody give a crap about him?! Makes.me.sick!

  7. The fudge sounds yummy. I must try it. Also Mariah annoys me in general but yeah the weight loss in 3 months in really annoying.

  8. Love Stephenie Meyers books but not a big fan of the movies. I like my oreos just nice, plain and original. LOL and as for those stars dropping weights like the leaves of fall, well you're right, would it were that we could all afford personal trainers and chefs. Thanks for the post.

  9. Also I got the Winnie the Pooh DVD/blu Ray in the mail yesterday! Woo hoo! I think Santa is going to deliver it to the kids ;)

  10. I so agree with you! It has been totally pissing me off that people are supporting Joe Paterno and giving interviews about how he is a great man and he was done an injustice. Ok, he was a great football coach.. but as a man, he had shitty morals because he knew what was going on and did nothing about it! he does not deserve the support, in my opinion.

  12. I totally forgot about Boner! *giggle*

The Breaking Dawn deluge has already begun. :p

    Boner.

  13. Heh. Boner. Yeah, I have a friend named Boner too (that's what she said).

  14. I saw the white fudge Oreos at the store a couple days ago. I didn't get them, but I did do a double take. Maybe next time.

I've always been very anti-Twilight movies. The 1st one was just so ridiculous. But I've watched it a number of times since and the stupid thing is sucking me in. So I kinda really want to see Breaking Dawn.

  15. We were just talking about Mariah. I love that having a baby, and twins, is the new weight loss plan.

  16. mariah carey has always gotten on my nerves.

  17. Mariah should stick to just singing.

  18. Mmmm. Now I want a chocolate peppermint milk shake. Hopefully you get a coupon out of that unsatisfactory experience. And I personally loved Perry's #1 excuse for forgetting the Dept. I just learned that Justin Bieber is my father...I die..ahahahaha.

  19. right.there.with.ya on the oreos. yummmmm! my husband was lucky to get a couple of them the other night, because I totally almost hid them in the pantry :-)

  20. Penn State should be so ashamed of their football leaders. Also of some of those of the college.

Maybe they should have lost their hole football season.

  21. I still feel bad for JoePa. He deserved a better exit than that (no pun intended).

His only guilt is by association. He's too old and deaf to know what was going on, and his glasses are so thick, you know he couldn't see shit.

  22. I will not be gushing over Breaking Dawn. Though, I was already gushing over the Hunger Games trailer that came out yesterday. But, no one in it is my boyfriend, don't worry.

  23. I am with you...I think I will avoid FB this weekend ,just so I don't have to hear about breaking dawn(I couldn't care less)

    ReplyDelete
  24. Have you tried the STRAWBERRY oreos yet??
    Yumm-EE.

I liked the Twilight books- movies are ok, I think the first one was the best.
I don't really understand the fascination with Vampires...not knocking anyone, I have a lot of friends who are- well, a little different- but honestly? Some of these people need psychiatric help.
    You're a vampire. REALLY?
I remember the Maury Povitch show; someone came on there and said he'd give a million dollares to anyone who was a real vampire...guy stood up in the audience, dude pulled out a gun...Vamp said, "hey, you can't shoot me, you'll kill me."

Needless to say, no millions for him:)

  25. You always put a funny one at the top and I can't get past it..Boner. Ha!

And, then Cain stumbled this week and got all sorts of crap. Looked to me like a senior moment.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Eh. I don't feel too bad for Perry. The whole purpose of this process is to vet the candidates.

I can proudly say I've never seen any of the Twilight movies. Of course, I rarely see movies at all so that's not saying much. I've only seen 2 of the Harry Potter movies.

  27. HA! Until I read the comment before this, I thought the Breaking Dawn movie was about zombies or something scary... well, I guess it IS something scary! :)

**Jerk Face and I were JUST talking about Boner! I don't think I knew what a boner was when that show aired... I wonder what my parents thought....?

  28. Three years after my first child...I'm still carrying around 20 extra pounds :(

We've ordered some things from Lakeside before and love that catalog.

I loved reading the books, but thought the movies were ridiculous and the acting could very loosely be called acting...or maybe it should be called "trying to act". I was in Best Buy the other day and there was a huge display of curling irons and hair straighteners with the Breaking Dawn theme. In Best Buy...of all places. But, what does this movie have to do with curling irons?! I'm so confused!
