Hey, It's Okay Tuesday!

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. They have a section called Hey, It’s Okay and will list a bunch of things to be okay about. You're welcome to join in and do something like this on your blog. Doesn't have to be on a Tuesday either. Just make sure you link up!

-------------

To think it’s silly that the Bumbo is under fire for not being safe. It’s fine. Just don’t set your kids in it on a high area. That’s common sense.

To be excited over making Christmas cookies this week. I love them.

To be glad when Christmas over. The stores are always crazy busy.

To wish people would stop taking a dump in the toilets right after I clean them. Wait an hour or something.

To love the biscuits from Popeyes. I ate like 3 of them the other day.

To hate when the kid’s toys go off on their own. I immediately think they’ve been possessed.

To be hosting a giveaway for a Chick-fil-a prize pack here. You can win a watch, a stuffed cow, AND a free coupon for a peppermint chocolate chip shake. Mmm, now I want one of those.

To have enjoyed the movie The Help. I had it on my Netflix list and it had a long wait, Tom’s Mom is here and wanted to watch it, got tired of waiting so she just bought it.

To be glad that Jon Bon Jovi isn’t dead. There was a hoax yesterday that said he was.

  1. I don't even go near the stores the week before christmas, it was crazy enough last week.

    Merry Christmas!

  2. The people with the Bumbo problem sounded dumb! They left a 9 month old in it on a table! It says no right on the box!
I was so distressed about my beloved JBJ! Who is so mean as to make a hoax like that! I was SO GLAD to see he was okay!

  3. Some people just don't have common sense. Bumbos are fine with common sense.

  4. All it takes is for one parent to not follow the instructions to the TEE before a product is deemed unsafe. My crib, the one I was saving? Is now "unsafe" because someone, somewhere did something incorrectly and paid a horrific price for it. While I don't negate that tragedy, it does seem like we overdo some of our recalls and safety measures. How about educating and providing choices instead of eliminating something that has been working really well for millions of children?

  5. I loved The Help!

I remember several years ago when the Bumbo was recalled- and it was to make the warning on them BIGGER about not using on a high surface. There was already one on there, but they needed to make it even bigger. So silly.

  6. That is absolutely silly that they are claiming Bumbos aren't safe.. Maybe if they had common sense and used them correctly then they wouldn't have a problem.

I can't stand how crazy busy and packed the stores are!

    & Yum! Christmas cookies!

  9. The Bumbo thing! Yes. I know people who had children FALL FROM A COUNTERTOP (more than one person) because they put their Bumbos up on the freaking countertop. ARE YOU PEOPLE STUPID? (Answer: yes)

  11. That issue with the bumbo has been around...what, at least 8 years. Please, can we blame the stupid parents and NOT the product? PLEASE?! Either that or I insist we put tags on things like steak knives, "Knives are not toys. You should not jump on the knife, stab your husband, or run at people with the knife."

  13. How much of a dumbass do you have to be to not realize that a top heavy child in a seat with no restraints on a high surface is more than likely going to end in disaster? We used our Bumbo on the ground in the presence of mommy and/or daddy. This next baby will also have to contend with a 3 year old big sister who may or may not try to drag her out of it, but we will deal with that if (who am I kidding? WHEN) it happens.

  14. We watched The Help over the weekend and loved it. Some movies I forget as soon as they're over, but this one stayed with me. (And I love Christmas cookies, too.)

  15. I will be glad when Christmas is over too. And I still have some shopping to do so I have to get out in the craziness. And the toy possessed one, just had that happen and husband and I looked at eachother, giggled.

  17. I loved the movie Help! I'm glad you got a chance to see it! I have always been amazed at how some people refuse to read and heed the warnings on some baby products!! Hope you enjoy your cookie making and I hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday!!!

  18. Sooo funny! I love your comment about the kids toys. I beat the crap out of a Buzz Lightyear that kept going off one too many nights. Hmmm. I think there may be a blog in that! Thanks for stopping by my blog.

  19. I did like the movie, but I have to say the book was much better, it usually is. Hunger Games was so good and when I saw the trailer for the movie I was blown away. It plays just like it reads. So excited to see it come March.
