Hey, It's Okay Tuesday!

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. They have a section called Hey, It’s Okay and will list a bunch of things to be okay about. You're welcome to join in and do something like this on your blog. Doesn't have to be on a Tuesday either. Just make sure you link up and that the post you link up with is an Hey, It's Okay post.

--------------------

To use coupons but not be an extreme couponer. I don’t think I have the patience.

To not get the neon things that are coming back into fashion. At Target they had neon purses out and I felt like I needed sunglasses on to look at them directly.

To wonder how Adam Richman, the guy from Man Vs Food, hasn’t dropped dead from a heart attack yet.

To be excited that there is a place nearby that has a restaurant dedicated to fair foods only. I’m talking deep fried twinkies, corn dogs, funnel cakes...Adam Richman should go there.

To have an awesome giveaway from an Etsy shop here.

To think the new season of Celebrity Apprentice should be entertaining.

To have gone to see The Vow with a friend. It was a good movie. Some people weren’t a fan of the ending but I didn’t mind it.

To be weirded out when people wear sunglasses indoors. I get it if they’ve just had Lasik (ahem, I did it..) but other than that I’m thinking, “Why?” (Talking to you Cee lo Green.)

To find Family Guy hilarious. Tom and I watch it on Adult Swim in bed. We crack up.

To have been annoyed to read that flags were at half staff for Whitney Houston’s death. It’s a shame she died but she did not deserve that.

  2. so agree about the flags! and Adam Richman- I'm not sure when the transition was but he no longer does the competitions locals now do it. thehubs and I speculate that his dr told him he was probably on the fast track to heart disease and he called it quits.

  3. Maybe Cee Lo wears the sunglasses because somebody near him is sporting one of those new purses from Target!

  4. I can never remember to use coupons, I always leave them at home. I could never get it together to be an extreme couponer.

Isn't Aresenio Hall on the new season of Celebrity Apprentice. That is enough right there to make me watch. There is no way it won't be fantastic.

  5. So with you about the flags. I'm sorry she died but what did she do for our country? And now that she's gone, can we please see some other news?

  6. I'm with you on the sunglasses! Lots of women here wear big sunglasses even at night, because it saves them doing their eye make-up. Doesn't save them bumping into things though.

  7. Totally agree about the flags for Whitney. That restaurant sounds really fun!

  8. You have a restaurant nearby that serves fair food? I am jealous!

I am also a huge fan of Family Guy. It cracks me up!

I didn't know about the flags for Whitney Houston. I know people are sad she died, but flags at half staff is just a little too much.

  9. I really often wonder if the people on extreme coupon aren’t the ones that will be on Hoarders in a few years. I want to see The Vow so bad! I have friends who loved it and friends who didn't care to much for it but who cares it looks so sweet and cute! Family Guy is the best way to unwind from a long day and flags at half staff really made me kind of sick. It is sad but that is kind of way out of line.

  10. I still remember the birthday (but not how old I was...maybe 11?) that I got a bright orange neon sweatshirt, green neon belt (over the sweatshirt of course) and my black parachute pants. I couldn't pull that off today, even if neon is back. :)

  11. I wish they had one of those restaurants around here. I would so be there.

  12. What - you mean you don't have a steel rack full of enough toothpaste to keep your family shiny for two hundred years?

  13. OMG don't even get me started on extreme couponing. Who has the time for that!?

  14. Yeah, I don't get the sunglasses indoor thing. Always makes me think they're in the mafia or something.

  15. As soon as you mentioned Cee Lo, I flashed to his incredibly creepy stubby hands! Something so swarmy about that man, and yet, I am addicted to The Voice. Could be my neverending crush on Adam Levine...or my developing love for Blake Shelton, though :-/

  16. I have Celeb Apprentice taped but haven't watched it yet. I think it's going to be awesome! I chose to watch the Bachelor last night instead of watching it yet. Why? I know not - to see the 35 floppies of Ben's hair, maybe?

  17. I agree with the Whitney thing. A shame that such a wonderful talent was wasted, but flags at half mast? That's too much.

  18. I love Celebrity Apprentice! I think it'll be a good season!

  19. I love a good deal (spending 20 and saving 50) but I only do that once every couple of months when the sales are good. And I *only* buy things we'll use. None of that buying dog food to get the deal when we don't have a dog...

  20. Totally agree about the flags. I do wear sunglasses inside sometimes because they are prescription and sometimes I forget to change them out before leaving the car, leaving me to choose between wearing the sunglasses inside or not being able to see.

  21. Thanks for the plug!! Also LOVE family Guy or at least Stewie.

  22. haha this is really funny and I always read those Glamour sections. I really like that you mentioned it's okay to not buy neon. I totally saw those accesories at Target too and I resisted eventhough I like neon because they looked kinda cheap. hehe

    Nice post, following you now

  23. I just watched some of the Celebrity
Apprentice last night. Since I finally quit watching the Bachelor I needed an alternative. :)

  24. I never use coupons. I shop at Costco, isn't that enough?

  25. I was annoyed at the flags too. Oh? And extreme couponing? I've decided *I* don't want to do it, but some of these people should market themselves out, because I would totally pay THEM to do it for me.

  26. I do Yup its ok on my blog too!!!! I loooooove it!
