Hey, It's Okay Tuesday!

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. They have a section called Hey, It’s Okay and will list a bunch of things to be okay about. You're welcome to join in and do something like this on your blog. Doesn't have to be on a Tuesday either. Just make sure you link up and that the post you link up with is an Hey, It's Okay post.

------------

To be amused that on the forum I post at, some people were saying they don’t allow the word fart to be said in their home because it’s crude. Maybe we’re a crude family because we say it all the time. And have farting contests.

To be ready for Cadbury Cream Eggs!

To have been a little surprised that Jennifer Lopez was A) at the Oscars to begin with and B) that she showed her nipple to all of America.

To think the Reeses Peanut Butter Egg tastes the best out of all the shapes.

To wish people would go the speed limit when driving. I seem to always be stuck behind someone going 10 under.

To love the Shamrock Shakes that McDonalds has out now.

To can’t believe that my son is turning TEN on Friday.

To sometimes be embarrassed that I watch those Real Housewives shows. Most of the ladies on there are ridiculous.

To have been excited to see these in the store:

Yes. They are delicious!

  1. Do they really taste like birthday cake? or like Oreos with birthday cake frosting in the middle?

  3. MOST of the Real Housewives ladies are ridiculous? I would say that ALL of them are ridiculous- but that's why we watch. Otherwise the shows would be boring. :-)

  4. How did I miss JLo's nipple AND the existence of Birthday Cake Oreos? I feel like this is an educational blog.

I think I might have to go try the Shamrock shakes, I've been hearing people rave about them for far too long and I keep ignoring it. What's wrong with me?

  6. Basically the egg shaped ones are the best. Obviously.

  8. Mmmmm, reeses peanut butter eggs are the best ever.

  9. The Reese's eggs are DEFINITELY the best. By far.

Those people who said the word "fart" is crude must not be married or have boys. Because if there is a male in the house, then that word is used and used frequently.

  10. Reese's PB eggs DO taste better than all the other shapes. Finally someone believes me!

  11. We say fart here, too. We say all kinds of things here, actually. I guess some people would really be offended.

  12. I'm lol because I swear I wrote my post yesterday before yours even posted and I mentioned my love for Cadbury Eggs! The great think alike!!

  13. I also love those Cadbury Mini Eggs!!

  15. It's amazing what people classify as "crude." Like the other day, my husband got called to the school IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY - leaving work and everything - for an emergency parent-teacher conference regarding my first-grader's "use of inappropriate language." The offending phrase was CHICKEN POOP. Yes, seriously. WTF! I was livid. Some people are waaaaaaay oversensitive.

  17. Wow I still miss the gingersnap Oreos. And yes, JLo's dress was way too revealing.

  18. So, funny story... I saw those Oreos at Target the other day and immediately though (based on some of your posts) that they might be something you'd like. Sharing this now makes me feel a bit creepy/stalkerish, but I had to let you know anyway ;-)

  19. They look amazing. I could probably have like half of one. I must try them after the baby is born.

  20. I wonder if McDonald's in Canada is carrying the Shamrock Shakes yet...I'll have to find out!

  21. What on EARTH is a shamrock shake?

  22. Don't worry we can't get through a family meal without saying Poop or something of the sorts. I love the Real Housewifes shoes and I have no clue why, I think I just like to watch them explain things, useing words that aren't right or just don't are an over all fail.

  23. HER NIPPLE! Right? I was watching that with my husband and at the exact same time we were like "Is that her nipple?"

  24. When I was growing up we weren't allowed to say fart at home, which made it all the more fun to say it at school!

  25. I agree with everything on your list! I hoard Cadbury Eggs, it's really quite disturbing.

  26. My dad was a buyer for supermarkets when I was growing up and we had boxes of cadbury cream eggs. I can't even bear to look at them now.

  27. my poor children -- given our penchant for burping and farting and the subsequent congratulations for a good one they will need extra therapy.

I had the same exact thoughts about JLo at the Oscars...

and I didn't need to know the birthday cake oreos were good. Now I'll be forced to buy them...

  28. I hear you with the 10mph below speed limit drivers. So annoying! LOL. And I'm excited to know that Oreo cake exists. Must go and get it.

  29. Hahaha we say FART too- sheesh get over it, people. They're just slang words...we say a lot of other stuff too.
I figure if my boys ever have to cuss someone out, I don't want them to be lacking...

(BTW it's Tracy. I started another blog besides The Dinner Belle)

Have a great week, Amber! Happy Birthday Tommy- my Jesse turns 18 on Thursday:)

  30. Growing up, fart was referred to as "The F Word" and we would get in HUGE trouble for it. So of course, I say fart all the time now. Just because I'm a grown up and I can!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Eeek! The Oreo's ARE delicious! I love anything birthday cake flavor. My mom bought them for me because she said she couldn't not think of me when she saw them. Glad i am not alone in the world! :-D
