Back From The Beach

The good news is, I wasn't eaten by a shark while at the beach.

The bad news is, I didn't really tan.

See, I either burn or...nothing.

So I'm still rather pale. In fact, I'm not sure people would even realize I had even BEEN to the beach.

This is also because we don't go out in the afternoons. It's too hot in the afternoons. We usually go out in the evening, when the air is pleasant.

Anyway, so we're back, and this means I need to play catch up on a number of things. My blog. Laundry. Groceries. (As in, buying some..)

I'll go into further detail about our trip next week.

For now, I'll leave with a picture:

Feeding the seagulls was the highlight of the kid's day. They basically behaved like I do when people offer me cake. (The seagulls, not the kids...)

Seconds after I took the picture, though, I felt a stream of wet down my back and realized that I had been pooped on.

I handled this like a respectable adult.

No, I'm kidding. I immediately was like, "Ew! Help! Is it in my HAIR? Tommy, WHAT DO YOU SEE?"

I behaved like it was nuclear waste or something.

Tommy dipped his towel in the ocean and wiped what he could off.

Rude seagulls.

I knew we shouldn't have tried to feed them apple peels. They were probably like, "You've given us fries before. What's this JUNK?"

Hmph.

  4. Seagulls are just rude. At Sea World here they are known for stealing churros straight out of peoples hands. :(

Glad you enjoyed your trip! :)

  8. I feel your pain...we'll be back home from our vacation sometime later this weekend, and we'll arrive to a completely empty fridge and very bare pantry. I'll need another vacation after the grocery trip I've got to take...

  11. I wear SPF 60 like, all the time. I'm Canadian, what can I say. Anyway, I was in Maui and I was not very tanned, no one could believe I was there two weeks. WHAT? Tanning's bad for you anyway.

  14. This post reminded me of the morning I was on my back deck. Thinking about getting new chairs and spending more time out there. Then a bird pooped on my head. So I still have Same old furniture and I still stay inside!!!
