Hey, It's Okay Tuesday!

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. They have a section called Hey, It’s Okay and will list a bunch of things to be okay about. You're welcome to join in and do something like this on your blog. Doesn't have to be on a Tuesday either. Just make sure you link up and that the post you link up is a Hey, It's Okay Post.

This will be a beach themed Hey, It’s Okay Tuesday since I’m at the beach until Thursday.

To be a little afraid of some of the things people wear on the beach. Neon bathing suits are not attractive. On anyone.

To love s’mores on the beach.

To wish I liked seafood. All the places around here sell seafood and it LOOKS good but I still don’t like the taste. Boo.

To love reading on the beach. This is rare for me to do though since I have kids. I always worry the second I look away a wave will pull them out to sea or a shark will attack. So normally I just read on the balcony looking OUT to the beach.

To have promised Natalie to take her to see Brave when we’re back. She’s still aching to see it.

To be happy that the kids get their own room. Usually they are in the room with us. This time they are right next to us. Privacy!

To be jealous of the women I see on the beach who have multiple kids and still have flat stomachs. So not fair.

To love spending time with family. I’m here with my Mom’s side of the family and it’s pretty awesome seeing everyone.

  1. Yip I also envy those women .... how do they do it? Probably don't 'indulge' as often as I do!

    Enjoy the beach!

  2. Hope y'all are having a great time! I don't know where you are - but I hope that Debby is not messing up your week.

I haven't been to the beach in a few years - but we have been to water parks. I like to sit in the lounge chair - with my cover up on - no one wants to see that much pasty white skin - and people watch. Being at Disney, it's fun to realize you can pick out people that are not from this country solely based on their bathing attire :-)

  4. Have a wonderful time at the beach! We are stationed too far away for our customary beach trip, but I'll be dreaming about going in the future!

And I agree about seafood! Everywhere we have ever lived (as a Navy family) there are amazing (or so I've heard...lol) seafood places, and I'd love to like ... I just don't. :(

  10. I love the beach!! S'more making and reading are my faves. I need to make it a point to get out to the beach more often. It's only 15 minutes away but you would think it's hours away.

  12. Those women who have multiple kids and flat stomachs are not real. They are computer projections. ;))

  13. I envy those women too. I also envy the skinny women on the treadmill who walk like turtles while I huff and puff as I run.

  14. My 4 year old is driving me nuts about Brave. I told her I would take her once we get paid again. The price of movie tickets is ridiculous!

& I agree about the neon bathing suits. I only went neon on one thing this Summer & that's my nail polish. Other than that? Forget it.

  21. Here's something you'll love about the movie "brave." You can follow the very friendly director, Brenda Chapman, on twitter and she will answer your little girl's questions back on anything about the Brave character.

Brenda is all awesome like that.

You'll love this detailed interview on the excitement of making Brave:
