Hey, It's Okay Tuesday!

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. They have a section called Hey, It’s Okay and will list a bunch of things to be okay about. You're welcome to join in and do something like this on your blog. Doesn't have to be on a Tuesday either. Just make sure you link up and that the post you link up is a Hey, It's Okay Post.

--------------------

To hope I hear good stuff when I go to the kid’s parent teacher conferences on Friday.

To not be a purse girl but really like the Birkin bags. Unfortunately they are super expensive so I doubt I’ll ever have one.

To appreciate all the nice comments I got from the people who read my book. (You can purchase it here.)

To not be having a new entry for tomorrow since my MIL is visiting. She leaves Saturday so I want to be sure and spend time with her.

To be introducing my MIL to pumpkin spice frappucinos from Starbucks on Thursday. She’s never had one!

To just want to elections to be over. Seriously, it’s great that people are passionate about things, but some take it too far. Not everyone has to think like you do.

To be ready for Halloween. I already have all the candy in the bowl ready to pass out to kids. And okay, to snack on. Occasionally. Okay, every day, but I have lots of bags of candy. And not that cheap crap either. The good kind.

To know I’ll be cold on Friday. Our temperatures are supposed to dip to the 40s. Lately it’s been in the 70s and 80s.

To hate carving pumpkins. We do it for the kids. But really, ugh, it sucks.

  1. I also hate carving pumpkins. Really hate it. I don't even want my children to know what it is.

  2. Pumpkins are the worst part of Halloween. I hate the smell, the sticky-yuckiness, the seeds ... all of it. And to be perfectly honest, I don't like anything pumpkin-flavored or pumpkin-scented either. (Waiting for the villagers with torches and pitchforks to come get me ...)

  5. Will there be any candy left by next week, or have you gone out and repurchased and refilled a few times (like ours)?

  7. "Temperatures in the 40s" - we got several inches of snow last night and it's minus 8 here. Gah.

I can't wait for the US election to be over, so tired of hearing about it.

  8. I love carving pumpkins and then baking the seeds (: We make a day out of it and always have a blast. Except for the few times that pumpkin guts were thrown.. Ah, kids.

  9. I also can't wait until the elections are over. Then we can get back to the commercials about important stuff like ED and fancy tampon packaging. :)

  11. I really want a Birkin but seeing as how they are more than our paycheck (or pretty damn close) it won't happen. le sigh.

  16. Not a fan of the pumpkin carving either. Husband always does it and he isn't here. I've been putting it off as long as I can. But I think this weekend is the deadline. Triangles and one tooth grin is my limit.

  17. Never had a Frapuccino? On NO now that's just a shame. So glad you are taking care of that :) I'm sort of addicted to them . . .

  20. I'm with you on the pumpkins. This was the first year we carved one, since my son was a baby. They smell and feel disgusting. But, I roasted pumpkin seeds - that was a plus. :)
