Hey, It's Okay Tuesday!

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. They have a section called Hey, It’s Okay and will list a bunch of things to be okay about. You're welcome to join in and do something like this on your blog. Doesn't have to be on a Tuesday either. Just make sure you link up and that the post you link up is a Hey, It's Okay Post.

-----------------------

To not care about the feud between Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj on American Idol. I stopped watching the show after the second season.

To have fed the kids popcorn and nachos for dinner on Saturday. We went to see Hotel Transylvania so I figured it could be dinner.

To still cringe when I meet people who go, “You know what I’m saying?” over and over again when they speak. It takes all my strength not to interupt and go, “No, I DON’T know what you’re saying. Sorry.”

To have tried the pumpkin pie flavored bagels from Panera Bread and loved them.

To think the final season of The Office will be entertaining. I stopped watching for awhile because it got a tad boring.

To have not liked the remake of Steel Magnolias. I rarely like remakes.

To be gearing up to be listing more of Natalie’s clothes on eBay. My last round did well. I only had to deal with one crazy lady who was like, “Oh, I thought the size was 6-12 YEARS not MONTHS.” Even though the auction specifically said MONTHS.

To not agree with the mother who gave her 11 year old daughter a heart tattoo. With her OWN tools! ?

To have finished reading Prairie Tale by Melissa Gilbert. It was interesting. (She played Laura in Little House on the Prairie. Love that show.)

  2. - You mean to say popcorn and nachos are not universally acceptable for dinner? My kids have never complained about getting that.

    - I wish they did pumpkin flavoured foods/drinks here in Belgium

    - Regarding the mom who tattooed her kid ... I can't believe she said: 'she asked me to do it' Has she never heard the word NO!

  3. I wasn't happy with the remake of Steel Magnolias either! I love the original and I was happy that they stuck to the script, but I thought the characters of Truvy and Shelby, especially, fell flat. I did like Alfre Woodard's performance as Ouiser, though.

  4. Yeah, I think I am over watching AI. I can't stand Nikki nor Mariah. The only person left that I really like is Ryan Seacrest and I can get my fix of him on the radio.

  5. I never, like, you know, could listen to people that, you know, say "like" or "you know" every other phrase when they talk, you know?

  6. The tattoo thing kills me. Who does that? I sometimes tease my oldest (who is 14) about getting her a tatto for her next birthday but only because she knows I would NEVER do it. To actually think that's okay blows my mind.

  7. WHAT?!! They made a new Steel Magnolias? This is one of my all-time favorite movies. I quote it at random. How did I not know this? I'm not sure I can even watch it though. There is no way that movie could be matched. Why can't they leave well enough alone?

And a tattoo for a kid? WTH?! People will never cease to amaze me.

  8. Poor 11 year old with a tattoo. I still love The Office. I think the final season will be good. Was Hotel transylvania good? We often have nachos and popcorn for dinner when we do a movie.

  9. How was that book?? The one written by the woman who played Nellie Olsen was awesome!!! Did you know that the actresses were best friends in real life??

I've watched the Housewives of NJ season 4 online. Just finished part 1 (of 3!!!) of the reunion show. They were all so horrid to one another, I'm not sure I will watch the other 2 parts when they air!! What is wrong with these women????

  10. You always make me laugh. I'm a bit envious that you all went to see Hotel Transylvania. That movie looks cute! And I think we had a popcorn night this week too. Got to go with what works!

  12. I read about that mom tattooing her kid too! There were other stories as well, like a mom who allowed her 10 year old son, and a 13 year old boy came back from vacation with some friends and had a 12 or 13 inch dragon tattoo on his chest. CRAZY!

And I'm one of those people who would drive you crazy... I say "You know what I mean?" A LOT. To the point it drives my own self crazy. But, in my defense, it's something that I've gotten used to saying only because my hubby will pretend like he's listening, when he's not, so when I ask that, and he responds, then I know he's listening, usually. Sometimes I still have to ask him what I just said. LOL But if I just kept talking without the "You know what I mean?" then he would never nod at the appropriate time and therefore who knows when he stopped listening? haha I try to stop myself sometimes, but now it's just a conversation habit, you know what I mean? [LOL!!]

  13. Maybe you can pick up a tattoo machine on Ebay and have Natalie give you one on your back (where you can't see what she's doing). A reminder to Tom of what five years old was like forever.

  15. I haven't seen the remake of Steel Magnolias yet. I was curious if they stuck to the script exactly or changed it a bit. I love the original.

  20. My "boss" is constantly says "you know what I'm saying" and "you know what I mean" and she says this before saying anything. It drives me CrAzY! I've actually said "No, I don't know what you're saying/mean" several times.

  23. I love the breast cancer awareness bagels at panera! They are delicious! The office is actually about 100x better since Steve Carell left!
