Hey, It's Okay Tuesday!

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. They have a section called Hey, It’s Okay and will list a bunch of things to be okay about. You're welcome to join in and do something like this on your blog. Doesn't have to be on a Tuesday either. Just make sure you link up and that the post you link up is a Hey, It's Okay Post.

---------------------

To have not watched the Lance Armstrong interview by Oprah. What he did was disgusting and I don’t feel the need to watch 2 hours of his excuses.

To not be surprised that Janelle from Teen Mom 2 is pregnant again. She’s not even taking care of his first child, but sure, get knocked up again. That makes complete sense.

To be 5 episodes in with the show Girls and really enjoy it. It’s a bit raunchy at times but I love how the main character isn’t stick thin with makeup caked on her face.

To wonder if there are any other parents out there who do NOT let their kids touch their iPhones? Or their Kindle Fires. I figure I deserve SOMETHING for myself.

To hate the phrase “shut the front door.” It’s used way too much. Instead I say, “Shut the fridge!” It causes people to go, “Uh? That’s not the phrase,” and I go, “It’s MY phrase.”

To be looking forward to our trip to Disney World in June. It’s going to be fun seeing Natalie meet all the princesses that she so loves.

To know that I am beyond a doubt NOT smarter than a fifth grader. Some of Tommy’s homework baffles the crap out of me. Thank goodness for Google.

  1. I totally agree on the Lance Armstrong front. I watched bits and pieces of his interview and I think he comes across like a jerk. He's not sorry for what he did, he's just sorry he got caught.

And yes, yes, yes on Janelle from Teen Mom. What an idiot. As someone who had their first child at 19, I hate when people like her perpetuate the stereotype of irresponsible teen mothers. She's a moron and I truly feel sorry for her children.

  4. A - Lance Armstrong is a ... don't want to curse on your blog but I'm thinking strong words here).

B - Take it from a mom of a 9th grader: tutor.com is amazing (and free to military and their dependents). We've been using it for YEARS! It's better than google because you can interact with an actual tutor online.

  5. Ha! I'm an avid user of "Shut the Front Door" I even have a shirt that says it!

Janelle is an idiot. Enough said. Same goes for Lance Armstrong. What a loser.

  6. Janelle amazes me every day with her attitude about life. I just hope she does a better job with this kid than she did with the first.

  7. I didn't care to watch the Lance Armstrong interview either, I don't really care what he has to say - I have better things to do.
I can't watch Teen Mom, I get livid. Like, I just want to donkey punch them in the throat through the TV.
I don't let my son touch my iPhone, heck I don't even let most of my friends touch it!
Haha! I'm not smarter than a 5th grader either, I suck at that show and the homework.

  8. I had no interest in the Lance Armstrong interview.

You guys are going to have so much fun at Disney!

I don't have any kids, but I wouldn't let them touch my Kindle or Blackberry.

  9. We're going to Disney this summer too!!

And Penny ALWAYS grabs my phone and Kindle...

  10. The Kindle Fire in our house is my daughter's technically speaking, but that's kind of community property. My iPhone is 100% off limits. Sometimes she goes to grab it and I always tell her she has no reason at all to grab my phone.

I never watched an episode of Teen Mom, but seeing as how I was one, I don't think I'd appreciate them glorifying the stereotype.

  11. I love Disney World. You will have so much fun! I'm having Disney withdrawal. I can't wait for our next trip (probably 2014).

  12. I didn't watch the Lance Armstrong interview either!

And my kids are not allowed to touch my Iphone. It is way too expensive for them to get their grimy hands all over it!

  13. Ha ha you are so right...shut the front door is used waaaayyy too much now. And it looks like Lance is not winning over anyone with this interview which is what I am sure he was trying to do.

  16. While my husband will share his ipad with our daughter, I WILL NOT, EVER, share my new Kindle Fire HD!!! It's my precious and it's ALL MINE, MINE, MINE!!! (This was discussed on my FB page yesterday, lol!)

As for Disney, you will have to wait (at least) one hour to see each Princess at their "spots". So your best bet is to be on Main Street first thing when they open!!! Poor Bella only got two autographs and was really bummed. It was a long day of waiting, for everything, so wear comfy shoes!!!

  17. Janelle is pregnant again? I am usually on top of all this reality crap but I didn't know this, where the heck have I been???

Very very rarely do I let my kids touch my phone. They screw it up everytime they do & it pisses me off.

    Disney... HOW FUN!!!

  18. Yup, she has enough things, you can keep some stuff for yourself, don't feel bad about it.
