I Gave Teachers Chocolate

Last week was Teacher Appreciation Week. (Thank you teachers for all you do!)

A lot of people on my Facebook feed posted these elaborate Pinterest inspired gifts. Shadow boxes, shapes made out of pencils, banners, a “teacher tower” (made from office supplies…)

All were lovely.

But not something that I would ever make. I am a NC (non-crafter) after all.

So what did my children’s teachers get?

Yup.

Chocolate.

Chocolate for all!

Because who doesn’t like chocolate?

  1. Hey, if I were a teacher I think I'd prefer a chocolate bar over a tower of supplies any day! Plus, who are these people who have time to come up with these elaborate gifts? I can barely bathe myself.

  2. I don't ever remember Teacher Appreciation Week when my kids were in school. Is this a new Hallmark holiday? The teachers received gifts at Christmas....I don't remember if the kids gave them anything at the end of the year.

You can NEVER go wrong with chocolate, in my humble opinion!

  10. That is the first time I've seen 'NC' lol! I am a WC (wannabe crafter). Chocolate is a great gift, always!

  11. Ah we are so similar. I filled a jar with candy. Your note looks like a good idea too, so thank you for the extra inspiration!

  16. Apples may be the hallmark for teachers...but I bet there isn't a teacher alive who didn't wish it were chocolate instead. Good work!

  19. I don't even like kids, but after reading your post, I'm considering becoming a teacher just so I can get chocolate as a gift.

It tastes so much better when it's free.

  20. Can I teach your kids? I'd love to get chocolate. I get office supplies from the school, that's how office supplies work. Give me sugar to get me through the day!
