Hey, It's Okay Tuesday!

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. They have a section called Hey, It’s Okay and will list a bunch of things to be okay about. You're welcome to join in and do something like this on your blog. Doesn't have to be on a Tuesday either. Just make sure you link up and that the post you link up is a Hey, It's Okay Post.

--------------

To not care that North West was finally revealed.

To worry about Natalie doing her homework. She’ll have homework Tuesdays and Thursdays. She can be incredibly stubborn about doing it. “But!” she’ll argue. “I was just in SCHOOL. Why am I doing more SCHOOL WORK?”

To not care that Ben Affleck will be Batman. I really don’t care about those movies. I’ll watch them, because my husband wants to, but I could care less who plays the man in black.

To have passed on watching the VMAs. I don’t get a lot of music of today. I don’t understand the dressing in odd outfits and making a spectacle. I just want to hear good music, I don’t need a huge production, unless of course I’m at a musical.

To also have not cared that NSYNC performed. I was never a fan. I liked some of their songs but I was never a teenager who screamed for boy bands.

To have a giveaway for a signed DVD of Standing Up here! It’s about kids who stand up to bullying.

To have found these at WalMart. Yum!

  1. I am an nsync fan, but I am embarrassed to say I was in my 20s at their height of popularity.

  2. I honestly didn't know the VMA's were on until I read everyone's shocked reactions on Facebook. And I still don't care!
I like Batman but not enough to get really invested in who plays him. Ben Affleck is a good actor - that's about all I can say.

  3. I am with you on everything. Em actually likes school this year. Which makes me happy but doing school work is still a pain.

  4. Yeah, I'll take a good song over all the silly VMA hoopla any day.

  5. I don't care about the West baby, VMAs, Nsync or Batman stuff either. That Taco Bell stuff looks pretty great to me though!

  6. Those cinnamon nachos look so tempting!

  7. Wait - you don't have a stack of NSYNC t-shirts piled in that drawer next to your Twilight ones?

  8. I'm not gonna lie.. I liked 'Nsync! Even though I was in college when they were popular :)

  9. I totally forgot that North West' picture was released. I didn't see it and, like you, I really don't care. As for the VMA's...you're better off. Once you see something, you can't unsee it.

  10. I'm not an N'Sync fan either! Not my kind of music. But I did watch the VMA's. I always have so I just continue to do so. My way of keeping up with the times I guess? I don't like those Batman movies, or anything of the such. But you're nicer than me because you at least watch them with your hubby. I can't even stand to do that! Oh, and your daughter has a point! I used to say the same thing when I was in school. However, sadly, there is no way around it. lol

  11. Natalie does make a good point! lol And I don't care who plays Batman, he's just going to be a secondary character to Superman anyway. And now I'm gonna have to look for those taco kits at my store.

  12. It took me a minute to figure out what you meant by "North West was finally revealed" but then I remembered hearing about what's-her- face-Kardashian naming her baby that. How exciting! Not.

And I didn't even know the VMAs had aired or that Affleck was playing Batman. I'm clearly outta touch!

  13. The JT/N'SYNC performance made it worth it that I sat while my eyes bled at the sight of that train wreck called Miley. I hate admitting how much I loved N'SYNC. *sigh*

  14. I WISH I didn't watch the VMA's, but that's all I'll say about that. Not saying any names and giving out the publicity they so crave ...

    Ugh.

  17. Oh my!! I am search Walmart until I find those tomorrow! I hope they're as delicious as they look!

  18. Yep. When it was all over about the North West reveal I was like, "meh". I could care less. What I care about is WHY you would name your child North in the first place? Poor child.

  19. The only thing better than a real taco is a chocolate taco! YUM!-Ashley

  20. Those look yummy!! Yeah, that's where my focus went after reading everything else.

  21. I think it's time for your husband to come home like yesterday. You're sounding... kinda down. I've been reading you for years so I'm detecting a difference in mood here. What can we do to help in the meantime?

  22. Hi Amber! I'm so glad you stopped by my blog. Even more glad to discover your book! I definitely plan on reading it!

Because part of my job is about staying on top of social media, I DO know all about the Kardashians, Ben Affleck and the VMAs.

And I guess because I am a mom, I do care and I'm sad that my oldest daughter did see the Miley Cyrus performance. :( There are no good words to say about all of that!

I just read your 'About' page and I can totally understand the moving part, we've done it it one too many times. Hang in there and take care!

  23. Natalie sounds like Lucas - he will not practice writing his letters or name all because his teachers from pre-school last year already taught him. But guess what his first Wednesday night homework is? To practice writing his name 5 times.
Miley Cyrus' performance was disgusting - I'm so glad my kids weren't in the room.

  24. I wanted to respond to the Miley Cyrus thing. I still haven't seen the act she did, not interested in it in any way whatsoever. My first thought, however, when I saw things about it on the news was she was pulling a Madonna. Trying to shock the audience. When you shock people, they tend to remember you more.

She went from a clean Disney little girl image to what you see now-- a dirty sexual animal in extreme heat. Its shocking. But when you put it in the way you did... well you did on FB, not here I realize.... there's really nothing wrong with it. Shes old enough. Other people have done it. It's more of a stigma shatter that she did here than anything else. She gave us a rude awakening. I hate her tongue. It looks like an alien on her face. She needs to keep it in her mouth.

  25. I liked you til you said you don't like *NSYNC. :oP Okay, you're still cool in my book, but man... that was a shot to the heart. Their performance almost made me cry.
