Hey, It's Okay Tuesday!

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. They have a section called Hey, It’s Okay and will list a bunch of things to be okay about. You're welcome to join in and do something like this on your blog. Doesn't have to be on a Tuesday either. Just make sure you link up and that the post you link up is a Hey, It's Okay Post.

-----------

To have been called cranky when I said I was tired of seeing all those Facebook movies. Well, sorry, but after seeing 30 in a row, my eyes started to cross.

To still be waiting on warmth. It's cold again this week. Just as it was last week. I need Panera Bread to deliver their fabulous hot chocolate with the cookie flavored marshmallows.

To think it's ridiculous that NBC got rid of Jay Leno simply because he's old. So what? He was NUMBER ONE. Don't get me wrong, I like Jimmy Fallon, but it was a wrong move of NBC.

To have seen The Lego Movie. Tom was just going to take the kids and I was going to enjoy my quiet, but then Natalie was all, "Please come," so then I felt bad. So I went. It's okay though, I got nachos. And the movie wasn't bad.

To be excited that I get to go on a date with my husband on Friday. Yes. Valentines Day. The Hallmark Holiday. I don't care what it is. We get a DATE. NO KIDS! (And I'm a cheap date too. To avoid the crowds, we're sticking to Steak N Shake. And why not? They have tasty burgers and shakes.)

To have a giveaway for a t-shirt from PrintKeg here. There will be 3 lucky winners!

To be glad that Tom made Natalie's Valentine's Day box with her. Crafts are not fun for me and I'd have ruined it somehow:

To have made a button for the Hey, It's Okay Tuesday link up. I know it's lame. I have it linked up to my blog but I'm still figuring how to get the code underneath it so people can grab it when they link up. You can use it if you wish! Or if you know how to make a better one, let me know! Thank you SO MUCH to Rabia for giving me the code to put the code under the button. I really appreciate it.

  1. I never watched Leno. I always found him obnoxious. But I LOVE Jimmy! Every time he has Justin Timberlake on his show it's amazing and Justin's in his first week line up.

    Natalie's box is super cute!

  2. Natalie's Valentine's box looks great, Tom is quite artistic! I loved the Facebook videos, but I watched a few at a time, then again, I'm a sentimental old fool. I wish someone would take me to Steak n Shake for Valentine's Day, I have a work thing instead.

  5. Love the valentines box, they did a great job! Son wants to see the new lego movie. Don't know if I want to take him though.... peace and quiet is a premium.

  6. I'm not really sure who is watching Leno any more. I mean, obviously there are people, but I haven't watched him in years. The whole debacle with Connan sat poorly with me.

Also, I love Jimmy Fallon. I can't wait to see what he does on the Tonight Show.

  7. The valentine box is actually really great!! I couldn't have done that. My husband did the valentines for the classroom last night. Last minute.
And Panera!! I keep dreaming about the signature. All thanks to you that I even knew about it.

  12. I agree with the Jay Leno thing - Jimmy isn't funny to us. This was a hilarious list and a great idea :)

  13. I think Jay Leno was better his first time around -- before he kinda sorta retired.
that is when I switched to Jimmy Fallon. Assuming I stay awake that late of course.

My son is begging for that Lego Movie - but I want a date night too!
bet I still end up seeing a movie I don't really want to see.

  14. I'm so glad my kids don't have to make Valentine's boxes at home. They either do them at school or they don't do them and I am fine with either choice!!

  15. I LOVE Valentine's Day! And ooo I want to see the Lego movie, it looked so cute, but I will probably wait til it comes out to Redbox.

  16. HAHA yesssss....

I needed this. I only post once a week (grah!) but I can think of a few things I'm ok with right now:

    1. It's ok my hands are so chapped they look like the Sahara desert. Gives me an excuse to use a tab of the 17 gallons of random lotions I receive as Christmas gifts every year.

    2. It's ok I opened every single girl scout cookie box to try one of each cookie. Quality control.

    3. it's ok the people at work like to micro-manage. It gives me a perfect example of how I never want to be/act/lead, ever.

    I LOVE THIS IDEA!!

  17. They got rid of Jay Leno because he's old?! That's dumb! I've seen WAY older guys doing shows like his!!! How stupid!
Those facebook movies have been annoying the shit out of me, too!

  24. Natalie's box looks really good! I kind of miss making boxes and getting tons of Valentines.

  25. I hated those facebook movies! Why did everyone who made one think theirs was so unique and creative and fascinating (just like the other hundred thousand)?

The Valentine box is adorable! I used to just cover a shoe box with tin foil and call it a day. Crafts aren't my thing either.

  31. I love her box! What a creative idea! We are going out on Sunday for Valentine's Day. I hoping there aren't a lot of people that wait until Sunday to avoid the snow on Friday.
