Hey, It's Okay Tuesday!

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. They have a section called Hey, It’s Okay and will list a bunch of things to be okay about. You're welcome to join in and do something like this on your blog. Doesn't have to be on a Tuesday either. Just make sure you link up and that the post you link up is a Hey, It's Okay Post. Grab the button if you'd like!
------------

--To think it's funny how a lot of photographers are all, "Prince George has a regal air about him!" or, "He's so advanced!" He looks like a typical baby to me. Just super rich.

--To have been miffed when golf was on instead of Big Brother on Sunday. If it's not Happy Gilmore, golf is boring.

--To think it's gross when people try to change diapers at tables. There's a story circulating where a woman was kicked out for doing this. There was no changing table, but I'd have taken the baby out to my vehicle before changing it where people were trying to eat.

--To love when the library tells me my reserves are in. I just picked up the new Jojo Moyes book. One Plus One.

--To roll my eyes when people go on about how terrible McDonalds is. Just don't eat it! Sheesh.

--To still hate cooking. I've been finding new recipes because Tom said he was tired of the same stuff. It just reminds me how much I hate being in the kitchen. It's just not fun and I wish I were rich so I could hire a chef.

--To have been a little worried when Natalie insisted on climbing to the top of this. I thought she'd get scared at the top and refuse to drop down. But nope. She was fine.

  4. Who changes the diapers on the table? That's just... eww.

  5. Finding new recipes is what helps make cooking more fun for me.

  6. Who would even think of changing a diaper on a table? Gross!

I suspect that the people who protest McDonald's the most are the ones eating it the most, or at least wishing they were!

  7. Major EW at changing the baby ON A TABLE. WHERE PEOPLE EAT. I'm really hyper alert of what others around me are thinking so I get weary about changing a diaper pretty much anywhere, so I think I'm a bit bias but ew. No. That's almost as bad as McDonalds! Which is disgusting and I still eat it because uhm..it's McDonalds. Duh.

  8. Changing on table at a restaurant...that is gross.

  9. Changing a baby on a restaurant table is disgusting. If there wasn't a Koala Kare in the bathroom either put the changing mat on the floor (you can put paper towels or something underneath if it grosses you out or use wipes on the mat afterwards) or take the kid out to the car.

  10. What an awesome idea - so much better than the Glamour version! HA! I get so freaked out when my kid does crazy shit near water - I'm not a helicopter mom by any means, but I totally have freak-outs where I see the worst-case scenario playing itself out right in front of my eyes.

  12. I got an email from my library yesterday, I'm heading there tomorrow after work. Super pumped! I look forward to those emails. hahaha

I think George is really cute but just a baby.

  13. Gross. Half the time when Addie was little I preferred to change her in my car instead of the public potty. But the table. She needed to be kicked out. That's nasty. And Prince George...just a baby with ridiculous clothes. Nothing regal about him but his mile long name. And I am with you on hiring a chef.

  14. I always carried a towel in my diaper bag - that way if there wasn't a changing table I could make do (in the bathroom - not on a table in the restaurant!!!).
I would have never climbed up that thing at the pool - impressive that Natalie did!

  15. I personally hate McDonald's, but not because it isn't healthy, I just don't like it (well, except the fries, yum). My kids like it, so they get it sometimes when I'm not really hungry. As far as cooking, I'm with you. I don't like it and I wish I had a personal chef. But if you need new recipes, you should try ourbestbites.com. They have lots of yummy recipes, and it's written by moms, so nothing is super complicated.

  16. My husband has changed our baby's diaper on a table. I was very against it. But we have changed a diaper on chairs in the back of a Chinese restaurant because Chinese people don't seem to care that much and it was a pretty empty place. Sorry.

  17. Wow! She's amazing to have climbed that! Scarlet would never.
I hate changing diapers in public. Will usually go to a restroom or my car.

  18. Good Lord...GO NATALIE!

I can't say I would have been that brave. Probably would have found me slowly inching back down.

    Good for her!

  19. LOL, re: Happy Gilmore. I so agree!
Enjoy One Plus One! I feel the same way about those library notices!
Totally agree about diaper changing in restaurants.
My kids are daredevils and it freaks me out!

  20. George is cute, but, regal...? Good lawd a mighty people.
I can't stand when people go on and on about ANYTHING they hate... but food especially. We get it. You don't like it. STFU.

  21. Great list. Changing on a restaurant table.. yuck.

Nice to see kids do what we thought they couldn't.

  22. Love it when the library has books waiting for me :)

  23. Yeah changing shitty diapers where people eat is just plain rude! Yea its natural and all babies do it but we dont all have to see or smell it.

  24. Golf vs. Big Brother--no contest...BB! I watched it on CBS.com the next morning. When you watch the live feeds, the show is just a recap until Thursday night. (Although we don't get to see the competitions and ceremonies until the show...but we always know how they end.)

  25. that climbing wall over water - pure genius!! I'd be up that in a flash.

how could anyone ever think it was acceptable to change a baby on a table in a public/eating place?

I wonder if it hurts when the stupid leaks out of people's heads?

  26. I abhor cooking. Maybe we need to share our "usual" recipes and try one another's. They must be easy with a minimum number of ingredients though. :-)

  27. Last time we were at Disney, I couldn't believe how many people were changing diapers on the tables. I laughed about your cooking comment - the first thing I would do if I had the money is hire a chef :)

  28. My husband was so mad about big brother too! And I'm guilty of changing graces diaper on my lap in public. But discreetly and only when the bathroom was disgusting.

  29. The diaper changing story is gross. Who would do that?!

  30. The diaper changing thing grosses me out too- put a pad down, go to your car, use the bathroom's changing table!

  31. The title of your blog completely cracks me up! Love it.
Dirty laundry... Why not, I mean lets put it out there, if we are the first to announce it, then who can point fingers at us!?
I have to admit, I hate cooking as well, I can cook, and I can cook really awesome meals like Lumpia and Fried rice and stuffed cabbage, but after being a stay at home mom for a gazillion years, now that I work... I'm just like "EH"... so over it!
My dad was AF, My exhusband is AF, My son is in the AF, and I have another son on his way and waiting for his basic training day. We are a complete AF family!
I also work with children that have aspergers...it's a small world!
    Have a great upcoming weekend,
