Dumb Questions To Ask A Male Teenager

I have a teenaged son, and I'm discovering there are some things that I shouldn't bother asking him.

1. Are you hungry? The answer is always yes. They're constantly hungry. Even if they've just had a meal. They'll want more.

2. What's that smell? There's always some odd scent wafting off of them or their room. It's either sweat or too much cologne.

3. Are you playing video games? 90% of the time, yes, yes they are.

4. Will you stop messing with your balls? Never. They are proud of their package.

5. Did you already outgrow the jeans I JUST bought? Yup. They're always growing. Probably from all the food they consume.

6. Is your room messy? They'll argue and say it's not, that the pile of dirty clothes and empty food packages are SUPPOSED to be there. Duh. You'll get an eye roll when you remind them to put the dirty clothes into the hamper and throw away their trash.

Do you have a teenage boy in your life?

  3. I am about to have a teenage boy! He's 13 this summer. He is always playing video games unless we bug him to stop, which is daily. He also loves soda even though we don't have any in the house. He basically lives for free refills at restaurants. :)

  4. My oldest is definitely headed in this direction. I made him do a big cleaning of his room last week and he insists it's now clean but I say it's just cleanER than it was, not actually clean.

  9. Ahhhaaaahha. Reminds me of my brother when we were teenagers! My brother would lock his room the night before so he wouldn't have to go to school the next day as well! HA

  12. :D I have a teenage girl, she's actually rather organized, but she's not a super fan of all the questions. Like "Is everything okay?" YIKES! Don't ask her that. Why would you ask her that? :D
