How To Make A Cat Toy Out Of A Sock

Let's be honest: cats are rather lazy.

I have two cats and they prefer to sleep most of the day.

They relax so much that sometimes I worry about their health. Max is 9, almost 10. Ruby is 1. They're family and we want these cats to be around for a long time so I try to figure out ways to get them to move.

Food is a big one. When they hear the crinkle of the bag, their ears perk up and they rush over. They really enjoy the flavor of IAMS™and I am glad because the food includes fatty acids from fish oils, which helps with their skin and coat health.

As you see, they have gorgeous fur, and I want to keep it that way.

Beet pulp is added to IAMS™which helps with their intestinal health AND aid in their ability to absorb all the great nutrients. There's also a mixture of protein and carbs which aids to give a cat some healthy energy levels, which in turn helps keep them moving.

You can buy IAMS™ at Walmart in the dry cat aisle:

And you can learn more about the IAMS™difference by checking out this website: HappyPetHappyHome.com

I want to keep my cats active, so I come up with ways to keep them moving. Cat toys help and I like that I can make my own. You know how you always lose a sock and can't seem to find it? Well, now it won't go to waste. You can make a cat toy out of it.

WHAT YOU NEED:

--A sock
--Crinkly paper
--Googly eyes (if your pet won't eat them!)
--Pipe Cleaners

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Stuff the sock with crinkly paper. The noise excites my cats and keeps them interested.

2. Twist the sock closed with a pipe cleaner.

3. Add pipe cleaners and the googly eyes.

That's it! Simple! Then set it down for your cat to discover.

They'll bat it around and get some much needed exercise. You'll get some exercise as well as you're running around with your cat which is also important. Your cats want you to be around for a long time too! A healthy cat is a visibly happy cat thanks to IAMS™. Be sure to try out an IAMS™ diet for your furry family members so you can see the visible difference quality food can make and make sure you pick some healthy choices with them. Quality food is important for every member of the house!

When the kitties done playing, they'll most likely want to eat:

And, let's be honest, take another nap. But with IAMS™ I feel confident that it helps them remain healthy.

How do you keep your pets active?
