I Resolve To Not...

2017 is coming! And as I've done in the past, I'm making a list of things I resolve NOT to do because I don't think resolutions work. If I want to do something, I will, but I don't have to wait for a new year to do them. Plus, it's a lot more fun to make a list of things I WON'T do. Join in if you want!

I RESOLVE TO NOT....

...stop thinking it's weird that jeans with holes and tears in them are in style. If I'm forking out money, there better be no holes.

...stop loving Target. It's my favorite.

...give up my Diet Coke. It helps keep me friendly. You can go on with your bad self and give up soda, but I will not.

...stop complaining that I have to jog because my stupid metabolism is dying on me. I hate it, I hate it, and I hate it.

...stop making fun of kale. It tastes weird.

...stop getting tons of books from the library. Reading is the best.

...curse the drivers who refuse to use their turn signals.

...stop trying to build my blog. I mean, duh. I'm working on getting better at what I do. Writing. Photos. All of it.

So here's to an amazing 2017 with my fabulous Olde Book purse! I'm heading off to a NYE party in a few days...I'm kidding. I'm an introvert. I'm staying at home in my jammies and watching movies with my kids. Do you have any big plans?

  1. I'm so doing this. Yes, it's way more fun to make a not to do list than a to-do list. I'm staying home but hosting a party for a friend who has never had a birthday party and having a bonfire.

  12. I feel the same way about resolutions! Why wait for a new year to make a change? If you are "going to" change it you will start NOW. You cracked me up with a few of your NOT TO's lol

  28. What a fun idea! Instead of thinking of things to change it would be nice to think of the things that you're going to carry over on the year ahead. I had a great time reading your post and I am loving that book purse! ---For Elizabeth O.

  29. This post is too cute! I like to celebrate New Year's Eve and New Year's Day with my family. I'm planning to cook a nice birthday dinner for my husband on New Year's Eve and watch the ball go down in Time's Square. On New Year's day I plan to cook a delicious brunch.

  37. oh my gosh I nearly lost my coffee I was laughing so much at these! I remember when I was working in The Gap and their 10 year age wash denim Boyfriend cut jeans came out, they had huge holes all over them, were super bagge and even had fake brown marks on them but I bought a pair and my Parents never let me hear the end of that one! They couldn't stop laughing "that i'd spent money" on jeans with "stains" and holes in them!

  43. Lol, too funny! I have so many resolutions, but really the biggest one is to get off the computer. Being a blogger, it's hard to know when to turn it off. It's like the list is never ending so you're always sneaking back on to update socials or try to write a quick post. And I would like to get back into running. Wishing you the best for 2017 and good luck with all your goals.
