Hey, It's Okay

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. You can link up any day of the week. All you have to do is make a list of what you're okay about. Simple! Please do not link up a post that has nothing to do with Hey, It's Okay. It's rude and I'll delete the link.

Hey, It's Okay....

....to love Diet Coke like Lorelei Gilmore loves coffee.

....to plan on decorating the house for fall this weekend!

....to have not watched The Emmys. I wanted to watch The Orville, but stupid football went long and took it over. So then my husband and I just watched The Strain.

....to be excited to watch the Justice League in November with my family! It looks like it'll be awesome. Go Wonder Woman!

....to have watched It with my mom, daughter, and son over the weekend. It actually wasn't as scary as I thought. It was more about friendship.

....to also have a costume for Natalie that is less scary. She's a creepy clown for Halloween and for the horror nights at Sea World, but for my husband's Halloween work stuff and for the daytime Sea World Halloween stuff, she's....well, you tell me if you know who she is:

  1. I missed the Emmy's too. I was reading and don't feel I missed out. I will catch the best dressed on some show along the way.

  3. We missed the Emmy as well, later read that the The Handmade's tale did history by becoming the first streaming series to win for best drama... times are changing.

  4. The Emmy's are so lame. So sick of celebrities patting themselves on the back. However, it was cool to see Black Mirror get recognized....San Junipero is everything.

  5. I too missed the Emmy's, but then I stopped watching them years ago! Orville is pretty cool, but I need to watch more episodes before I decide on liking it or not. Love Natalie's hat!!

  6. Wow! That's an awesome reminder. In the world of right and wrong, this is a gentle reminder "That's okay" the way you are. I love your daughter's costume and it is no way scary...it is adorable!

  7. It's okay to hate Halloween, because I despise being scared. I love that your girl picked a sweet costume instead of a gory one.

  8. I have been slowly decorating for fall/Halloween all weekend long. I am going to finish up this weekend :)

  13. I love this idea for a post. I'll have to try it one day, cause, hey it's okay. My SIL loves Diet Coke as much as I love coffee, lol. Your daughter is so cute in her little outfit.

  14. I never watch the Emmys, and I don't know what The Strain or The Orville is. That hat is great, it reminds me of Eeyore's ears.

  18. I didn't watch the Emmy's either. I actually went to bed at a decent hour when they were on- which is weird for me. I don't know what your daughter's costume is... but I feel that way about a lot of costumes. That unless it's something traditional or something that's from something my kids watch, I have no idea what it is.

  19. This is fun! I am okay with not knowing on with celebrities and movies these days. My kids will grow up one day and I might feel like keeping up with things again.

  20. Ha! This is great. I'm okay with the fact that I'm not passing out candy in our neighborhood for Halloween.

  21. I missed the Emmy's as well...mostly by choice lol Orville is actually a pretty comical show. Watched part of it this past Sunday! I have already started my Christmas shopping so decorating for Fall is A-OK!

  22. I love the idea of fall decorating this weekend. It's never too early or too late to decorate! In Trinidad (where I'm from) many people start preparing for Christmas as soon as September rolls around... and I love that! Your daughter's costume is so cool by the way - I love that hat!!!

  23. I skipped the Emmy's, too. I'm really not into award shows anymore.

  24. I love this! It's okay that I poured myself champagne and watched the Emmys in my pajamas, am secretly hoping for summer weather to leave Chicago, and to indulge in some McDonald's with my kiddos this week.

  25. I love your post. It's very thoughtful. I can't wait for Justice League too. Thanks for sharing.

  26. No Emmy's here either. I read that they had really bad ratings all around. Great post.

  27. I did not watch the Emmys too and that's fine with me. I could never follow who is who and what shows they are in. There are just so many now! But using your words, "Hey, its okay!"

  28. I usually skip the Emmy's, they're just on too late and I wake up too early to pay attention to them lol. I love both of your daughters costumes!

  29. I love watching kids dress up for Halloween Autumn is fast approaching. I don't feel sorry not watching Emmy's either I heard that it was bad anyways.

  30. I missed Emmy's too :(... I am pregnant and I don't stay awake at nights so it was not possible for me to catch up :)... I am in love with your daughters costumes :D <3

  31. The Emmys passed? I'm so out of the loop! I had no idea this year it had such low ratings, from what others are saying.

  32. I can't remember ever having seen the Emmy's but I did this time for work. It was rather fun!

  33. That Halloween costume is so cute! I decorated my home for fall this weekend, and it is early but I was feeling it :) . I might get some weird looks because today it is a humid 86 degrees here and I have fake pumpkins on my porch, but it is ok!

  34. hahaha...piglet. so cute. and i didn't watch the emmy's either. I actually forgot that they were even on...ooops.

  35. I haven't seen the Emmy's in who know how long. I don't even know who contends. Lol

    ReplyDelete
  36. I have heard all kinds of things about the Emmys. I am not sure you really missed that much. And I am with you on the Diet Coke. Gotta have my diet soda or I won't be happy I don't think.

  37. I can't even remember the last time I watched an award show on TV. They take forever and I get absolutely nothing out of them! Totally ok.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Innovative way to have reminders. Nowadays award shows are getting pretty much boring, same boring drill carries on.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Don't worry, I haven't watch Emmy Award as well. I believe there will be a rerun this week :)

    ReplyDelete
  40. I'm looking forward to Justice League as well, mostly because of Henry Cavill, haha! I never watch award shows anymore!

  41. My husband got me addicted to the strain. Also I see a fall decoration binge happening very soon. I just love warming up the colors in our home.

  42. Great reminder. I tend to worry too much.
