Hey, It's Okay

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. You can link up any day of the week. All you have to do is make a list of what you're okay about. Simple! Please do not link up a post that has nothing to do with Hey, It's Okay. It's rude and I'll delete the link.

Hey, It's Okay....

....to be in disbelief over what happened in Las Vegas. My thoughts go out to all who were affected. I cannot even imagine. It's a shame that we have to worry about things like this happening. My heart swelled over videos shared of the long lines outside of blood donation places. People are trying to do all they can to help.

....to also be upset when I heard Tom Petty passed away. I adore his music. Many of his songs are on my playlist.

....to have tried a new restaurant with Tom. It was called Redneck Heaven. The name amused me and the food was pretty tasty!

....to need to pull the Halloween stuff out of the garage but it's so messy in there that I worry things will collapse on me.

....to be excited that select McDonalds are bringing back the szechaun sauce that was mentioned on Rick and Morty on Saturday. I'm going to see if I can get some!

....to have taken Natalie to Sea World over the weekend for the daytime Halloween activities. There's a mini hay maze, trick-or-treating, fun shows, pirates walking around, and the Sesame Street characters are dressed up for Halloween. We had a blast! We're going back this weekend for the scarier stuff at night. But in this photo she met the Pumpkin Patch Princess. Oh and yes, she's dressed as Louise from Bob's Burgers. At night she'll be the creepy clown!

  2. I still can't wrap my mind around what happened in my hometown. We woke up this morning and immediately got on our phones checking on family and friends. It's just so damn awful.

  3. Unfortunately I can believe what happened in Vegas, which in itself is a sad commentary. What happened to Tom Petty?

  4. I can't believe Tom Petty is gone.
I have family in Vegas who relocated there years ago. It is just horrible.

  5. This Vegas shooting was horrible. I hate that people are going around hurting/killing people at will. A pumpkin princess makes me smile at all the endless possibilities of pie!

  6. My heart goes out to the families who lost their loved ones in Vegas. Completely shocking

  7. Senseless acts of violence is always heartbreaking and there is never a clear answer to why this happens other than the person is deeply disturbed or evil. Politicians will use this as a platform to push gun control and will try to infringe upon our Second Amendment rights. This is a horrible thing, don't get me wrong but taking arms away from the people is even more horrible - to be totally defenseless and helpless against intruders, burglaries, rapists, murderers, and the government. Nuff said on this matter. Next...

Hey, it's okay that y'all had loads of fun at Sea World and what fun to have one's picture made with a princess. At first, I though the princess was Belle from Beauty and the Beast, then I read that she's the Pumpkin Patch Princess. That explains the green gloves. lol

Redneck Heaven. Tennessee is redneck territory! LOL Actually, Tennesseans get a bad rap for this but true rednecks are far and few between. It's good to laugh at oneself, though.

I read the mews from a few other bloggers this morning of Petty's reported death and I found a link of a family member confirming the singer's passing. Bad mews always seems to travel in threes and I fear we're not out of the woods yet!

Thanks for hosting the "Hey, It's Okay" fun. Linking with you today! ;)

  9. I'm still in shock over what happened in Las Vegas! It just doesn't make sense and my heart goes out to all the victims and their families. When I heard that Tom Petty died yesterday, I had to pull all his great songs up and listen to them again, with tears in my eyes for all the losses yesterday.

  10. I was devastated to hear about Las Vegas and then Tom Petty. The evil in the heart of that man who killed and injured so many is unbelievable. I loved Tom Petty's music and songwriting. He was such a talented performer.

  14. I go to Vegas every year for a work event, and it was shocking to see the news. I have a lot of friends and fellow colleagues that often work on the strip, and I was up late watching it develop and worrying. I should get the Halloween decorations out and up to distract me from it all.

  15. It is hard to contemplate what was going through this person's mind that killed so many people in Vegas. I cannot wrap my mind around it. All I can say is I pray for those that have lost loved ones and those that are in the hospital because of this terrible cowardly act. The only thing that I see as a Silverlining is you see people helping others that might not have even met before. In this day and age I will take that to heart and try to help others myself. We need build each other up and stop all the petty arguing we have done.

  24. I haven't really been able to get back to "normal" after hearing the horrific news about so many innocent lives being lost and changed forever in Las Vegas. Thoughts and prayers aren't enough...we now need ACTION.

  27. I usually try to always see the good in something, but I have decided there are just pure evil people in the world. For what reason - ???? Anymore, you can't say - it won't happen to me.

  33. The Las Vegas stragedy is so sad. This is quite similar happpened here in Manila at Resorts World Casino. The gunman is problematic and lost in bets, he carried a high powered gun and start ed firing and destroying the poker tables... In the end he put himself in fire and died. No casualty died except himself.
