Why Families LOVE Main Event

**Main Event graciously hosted us in exchange for a blog post about our experience and mentioned the Veterans Day promotion. No other compensation was exchanged. Shout out to the manager Lawrence! He was super polite and deserves a raise!**

It can be tough getting a teenager out of his room. Especially when he has recently gotten a new video game.

"Hey Tommy, you want to go out?" I asked him.

I received a grunt in response.

"We're eating and playing video games!" I said.

This caught his attention. Food is important for teenagers since they eat like 90% of the day. He said he'd go. He peeled himself off his bed and muttered that he'd put real pants on.

We headed to Main Event, and if you've never been, you're missing out.

At Main Event you can bowl. Play Laser Tag. Eat. Play video games. Plus so much more!

We bowled first!

Tommy was even excited to bowl, which is a shocker, because I thought only food and video games excited him.

By the way, I totally won. I mean YES, I had the bumpers up, but I won. (The kids had the bumpers up too!) (This is me celebrating a strike. I got THREE of them!)

You can order food right where you bowl. A kind waiter or waitress will come by and ask if you'd like anything.

The boys got burgers:

Natalie got the chicken tenders kids meal:

I got the loaded fries because I'm all about cheese:

Oh, another thing Tommy loved about Main Event? There's Free WiFi:

After we bowled and ate, we headed for the arcade where are are TONS of games to choose from:

I played a few games against Tom and won. (I'm kidding, but dang it, did I try!)

Guys? They had PacMan so you know I had to play:

Guess what? If you have a veteran or active duty military member in your family, they can eat and play for FREE on Veterans Day (Saturday) from open-5 PM. Learn more about it here

Our (former and current) military members work hard, and deserve only the best, so I love that Main Event is doing this for them.

Gosh, we spent a long time at the arcade, I won't lie. And it's not like you're just sitting on your butt. As you see, some are games where you have to move. And it's exciting to have a friendly competition with a family member. Tommy and Natalie had fun at The Walking Dead game.

So if you're looking for a fun family activity, check out Main Event! And remember, Veterans and Active Duty Military Members eat and play for FREE on Veterans Day!

My husband says thank you! (And naturally he'd pick a shooting game.)

Have you ever been to Main Event before? My daughter says she wants to have her birthday there in March (there are various party packages), so we'll be back!

Do you have a veteran or active duty member who would love to go to Main Event to eat and play for free on Veterans Day?
