Hey, It's Okay

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. You can link up any day of the week. All you have to do is make a list of what you're okay about. Simple! Please do not link up a post that has nothing to do with Hey, It's Okay. It's rude and I'll delete the link.

Hey, It's Okay....

....to have stayed in and watched Fuller House with my kids on New Years Eve. I also ate a lot of cheese.

....to have thought Jumanji was a funny movie. My kids liked it too!

....to need the weather in Texas to get warmer. I do not like the cold.

....to have taken down all the Christmas decorations, including the tree.

....to think it's weird that my kids go back to school on Wednesday. They had an odd winter break schedule.

....to rarely make resolutions because I don't want to stress if I don't follow through. Basically I always try to be a good person and grow my blog and social media accounts.

....to have watched all the firework displays in the neighborhood when it hit midnight on Monday. I don't bother buying any; people set off enough.

  6. We finally saw Star Wars last night and there were a lot of people there to see Jumanji. I remember loving the book but not so much the first movie. I'll maybe this a shot, though.

  14. Watching fireworks with family is the best. We also don't buy fireworks, only making sound and some noise. For the fireworks, we leave it to the neighbourhood. There are already amazing fireworks.

  18. I was surprised at how much we liked the Jumanji movie. Christmas decorations were down and put away christmas night. It is extremely cold here and will be for awhile.

  23. I've always wanted to spend New Years Eve inside with the kids, just relaxing. And there's nothing wrong with not buying fireworks when everyone else sets them off on your block.

  33. I totally like this idea. I put up anything that resembled Christmas before the new year. lol My kids also like Jumanji.

  34. I watched Fuller House (last season) alone so who would I be to judge. Every year I take the decorations down usually on New Years, depending on the day of the week it falls.

    ReplyDelete
  35. We too have stopped buying fireworks and enjoy the ones set off by others. That much less pollution. And I guess it is okay.

  36. I thought Jamaji was a really good movie, really funny. My boyfriend was not a fan but hey to each there own. Happy New Year! Cheers to more laughter ahead.

  37. I love these posts so much. They're so reassuring to see that other people feel the same way about rarely-discussed topics. I also think my kids' winter break schedule is weird. I can see why resolutions are not needed if you are always trying to grow your blog.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I forgot to say that it's also really okay to have some resolutions that are left attained. For me as long as you did good over the whole year is enough even if you did not fulfil your resolutions during the year.

    1. I love this post. This is so refreshing and such a great list. And while I don't do resolutions anymore, it is okay if some are left unattained.

  39. I love your Hey It's Okay posts. We took down our Christmas decorations the day after Christmas because we had a road trip planned for the following day. I typically leave the decorations up until after the New Year, but not this year and I'm okay with that. Happy New Year!

  41. I totally get what you mean by hardly setting any resolutions. I am bad with going through with them but I still make some. :)
