Hey, It's Okay

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. You can link up any day of the week. All you have to do is make a list of what you're okay about. Simple! Please do not link up a post that has nothing to do with Hey, It's Okay. It's rude and I'll delete the link.

Hey, It's Okay....

....to hope it doesn't freeze here as the weatherman is predicting. I'm in Texas and no one knows how to drive in weather like that.

....to think it's amusing that school was canceled. You see, I lived in Wyoming for 5 years, so this is nothing. But I remind myself that I'm in Texas now, land of bad drivers. Add ice to that, and everyone panics.

....to have not done much for the day off on Monday. Natalie and I went grocery shopping and we brought home McDonalds, which was pretty delicious.

...to have a giveaway for a $50 gift card to Fandango and a sweatshirt from the movie 12 Strong, which you MUST see! You can enter here.

....to love that my daughter danced to Come Alive from The Greatest Showman. She makes up her own moves. And she wanted to buy an outfit so she'd look more like Hugh Jackman's character. We just LOVE this movie.

  1. Great article. I understand your sentiment living in the south freezing and cold rain shuts down the city.

  5. I'm seeing all these people in Texas freak out over the snow and I think it's hilarious. We got a foot last week and that's nothing here LOL.

  6. This is a great video and with your daughter in is so adorable and so beautiful 😍😍😍.

  7. People sure do panic when it's icy. It's natural to worry about it because it's unsafe, plus there are those people that can't even drive well on a good day that shouldn't be out in it, along with folks that think wheel drive solves everything.

  8. The video is so adorable, I am hoping for less cold too because I don't think I can deal with it anymore.

  10. We have a tradition of volunteering on King Day but this year I wasn't feeling my best, plus I had to drop kids off at college and one was marching in the parade so I didn't volunteer. However, my kids did. The college kids volunteered on campus and the younger ones volunteered with our local youth council to help pediatric cancer patients.

  11. We are in the state of bitter cold weather. I am so over winter which isn't the norm for me. Have been getting more reading and crafting done.

  12. I remember moving from a warm state to a cool state and how I thought that everything would be canceled since there was so much snow! LOL It was a shock that they didn't!

  13. I like this. I really have to join in sometime! Right now I'm trying to figure out a solid blogging schedule and I might join this routinely. I really think we should be "okay" with things that happen that are out of our control. It's so easy to let it bother us. This is a great release for that.

  14. This was hilarious and such a great idea. LOL. I live in NC and everything shuts down here when it snows as well (and the grocery store gets cleaned out!) I’m going to make an Okay list as well!

  15. I shall keep my fingers crossed for you that it doesn't freeze, they have said it might snow here tonight and I am really hoping they are wrong.

  16. I totally share the love of The Greatest Showman, that movie was amazing. My teen daughter and I went together and we both vow to own it. We listen to the music on YouTube from the movie whenever we can! It is okay by the way ... it is always okay ;)

  17. I live in AZ... people here can't use their blinker and the city shuts down if it sprinkles a little bit. I can't imagine them trying to drive in snow or hail or a real rainstorm.

  18. My daughter and I just saw The Greatest Showman too. It reminded me a lot of La La Land, even though the story line was completely different.

  19. I was hoping that it wouldn't snow or freeze here. I'm in Georgia, and no one can handle snow or ice here either.

  27. ha, yes. It reminds me of when it rains here in Florida. No one remembers what a signal light is. They get consumed with the weather conditions.

  35. I'm so glad you really enjoyed your day off. I used to feel like I had to get lots of things done every opportunity I got. Not so much anymore and it's made me so much happier! ps: I hope you got a little bit of vanilla ice cream while you were at McDonalds. It's my favorite. x

  36. Glad you loved the movie the Greatest Showman. My daughter and I really loved it as well. And I get the bad drivers thing. If we had even a small amount of snow here I think there would be Armageddon. It would be over.

    ReplyDelete
  37. She is just the cutest! Nice video! It's not nice that you have to deal with a lot of bad drivers. It must be really annoying!

  38. We live in Tennessee and the entire city has been shut down for a week due to the snow and cold weather. We are from Ohio, so that is hilarious to us.

  39. I remember the bad driving in Texas. Awful! And it's funny that school was canceled. We were over here at -13 and it was still going. Boo!
