Hey, It's Okay

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. You can link up any day of the week. All you have to do is make a list of what you're okay about. Simple! Please do not link up a post that has nothing to do with Hey, It's Okay. It's rude and I'll delete the link.

Hey, It's Okay....

....to be so glad that the food poisoning has passed. I went to my daughter's school carnival and had something from a food truck. The next day, it was terrible. I practically lived in the bathroom for hours on end. Have you ever gotten food poisoning?

....to be tempted to take the kids to see A Quiet Place this weekend. My daughter especially loves movies like that. I tend to jump more.

....to have bought The Greatest Showman, because the songs and the story are fabulous! You must see it.

....to be taking Natalie to Target on Friday since she has it off thanks to Fiesta. It's a Texas thing. You can go downtown and see parades, but it's too crowded, so we'll be at Target.

.....to be bummed to hear that R. Lee Ermey died. My husband made me watch Full Metal Jacket a number of times. He used R. Lee Ermey as inspiration when he became a MTI. I'm joking. You aren't allowed to talk to the trainees like that these days.

  7. I think I had food poisoning once, either that or a really bad stomach virus that a lot of people I know also had!

  10. I've only had actual food poisoning once that I know of and it was absolutely terrible. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. Glad you're feeling better. I haven't seen The Greatest Showman!!! I really want to though. Also, I am sad about R. Lee Ermey! He had this cool TV show for a while where he talked about military things (weapons, vehicles, etc) and I loved it.

  17. I FINALLY saw Greatest Showman and I can say that until you find yourself singing the songs randomly throughout the day, you haven't really seen it. Zendaya rocks.

  18. Like Six Time Mommy, I had it after Chinese food at the mall food court. I also had caffeine that day, which can set me off. I was supposed to go to a party that night, and let's say it didn't happen.
There wasn't barfing, though. It was all.. the other thing. TMI!

  21. Glad you are feeling better.. Bill and I both had food poisoning riding our bikes back from the Sturgis rally. OMG, stopping at every exit. I can't wait to see A Quiet Place! It won't be in the theatre though, my patience for seeing a movie with the general public has long run out.. :-)

  22. Sorry about the food poisoning, I'm glad it has passed. I think the parade sounds awesome but if it's too crowded, I would also rather just go to Target or stay at home. I can believe R. Lee Ermey has died!

  23. I love this idea! I actually bought The Greatest Showman the other day and we've watched it at least 5 times already.

  27. Ugh... food poisoning is the WORST! Hope you're 100% better by now! We ate some bagged romaine lettuce last week before we saw that it was recalled for e coli, and I have been on edge ever since, even though I'm sure we would know by now if something was wrong. Blah!

  28. Oh so sorry about the death, that's just terrible. And food poisoning too, not a good week. Maybe you'll have fun at Target since you're feeling better.

  29. Nice idea fora link up. I'm so glad you are feeling better after food poisoning. That really sucks. I did some case studies on food poisoning outbreaks in school and it was always interesting how something so simple could start it.

  30. Excellent viewpoint. I love where you are coming from with this. Thanks for the encouraging words!!

  33. Food poisoning is the worst. My most recent experience was eating pancetta in pasta at a restaurant after asking them to remove it while ordering. Mind you, I'm a vegan who hasn't eaten pork in 6 years. It was the worst! I' glad you're feeling better!
