What Makes A Hero? (+ 15:17 to Paris BluRay DVD Giveaway)

What makes a hero?

Is it the husband who goes into other countries and leaves his family behind?

Is it the family that is left?

What makes a hero?

Is it the child with autism who is trying hard to fit into a world that is too noisy and too confusing?

What makes a hero?

Is it the kid who befriends a lonely student?

There are many ways a person can be a hero. The three soldiers who stopped a terrorist attack on a train headed for Paris are certainly heroes. They didn't have to step in and do a thing, but they did. They risked their lives.

This is the plot of 15:17 to Paris. (It was directed by Clint Eastwood. Another bonus. "He's such a studmuffin.")

What I like about the movie is that the soldiers play themselves. They are not actors.

So thank you Anthony Sadler, Alek Skarlatos, and Spencer Stone. Thank you for being heroes.

A lucky winner can win a DVD/Blu-Ray copy of 15:17 To Paris.

  4. Thanks for sharing this post. There are many every day heroes who are selfless and giving to others that go unrecognized. Our military are heroes every day as are their families to have to sacrifice so much while they are away.

  24. There are many beautiful ways to be a hero. Every scenario you said is one! I told Scarlet that it's more braver to have fears and face them, than to just not have any! Or to pretend you don't!
