Hey, It's Okay

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. You can link up any day of the week. All you have to do is make a list of what you're okay about. Simple! Please do not link up a post that has nothing to do with Hey, It's Okay. It's rude and I'll delete the link.

Hey, It's Okay....

....to be back from vacation! We went to Ohio to visit with family from my husband's side. We got to see some cool places: the national museum of the Air Force, plus the Ohio State Reformatory. More to come in future blog posts.

....to have had to do tons of laundry when we returned. Plus I wanted to wash the sheets, because being gone for a week means they smelled musky.

....to be going to the beach this weekend. I haven't been to the beach in so long!

....to be relaxing on the 4th of July. We were invited to a party, but I'd prefer to stay with family. We are going to see Jurassic World!

....to not bother buying fireworks because most of the people in my neighborhood do that for me and light up the sky as soon as it get dark.

....to have loved going to the Ohio State Reformatory. For those who don't know, it's a prison built in 1896 and The Shawshank Redemption had several scenes filmed there. Here was one of them:

  3. I agree about coming home from vacation. That's why I always have the house cleaned while we are away. We come home to a fresh house and we are instantly happy to be home!

  4. We are having a HUGE 4th of July party tomorrow and man oh man I can tell my husband is starting to stress - not so much about entertaining but since we just moved he feels like we have 10 million things to do today before the party can start!

  5. We're (my church) throwing a huge 4th of July celebration for our community. It's always fun and we have a live band. The grand finale is a large fireworks show. A few days later my husband and I leave for a two week vacation in Turks and Caicos and I can hardly wait. It's OK to need a vacay! :)

  20. Hey I could have written this post! We just got back from a four state roadtrip. The laundry was unreal. We also did not buy fireworks and plan to stay close to home today...at least that's the plan unless nature calls us out and we hike or go on a picnic.

  21. Sounds like you're going to have a fun 4th! I'd rather be in a cool movie theater than sitting in the heat waiting for fireworks, lol. Jurassic World is on our must-see list, too.

  22. I love this. I think we need to remember that we don't have to be working all the time... we do deserve to take a break.

  23. It's okay to spend time with family more. Precious memories can't be replaced while invitations can be done again. Sometimes a break and a little relaxation is all we need.
