Hey, It's Okay

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. You can link up any day of the week. All you have to do is make a list of what you're okay about. Simple! Please do not link up a post that has nothing to do with Hey, It's Okay. It's rude and I'll delete the link.

HEY, IT'S OKAY....

....to be disgusted by many of the laws recently passed in Texas. It's embarrassing to live here at the moment, however, I am grateful to see so many people speaking out against the laws and those in other states saying that they stand beside us in our outrage.

.....to have started to watch the Twilight movies with my daughter. When I watched them I poked fun of Edward often. I'm pleased to say she does the same. I didn't even tell her Edward freaked me out. She was just like, "Ew, why is he staring at Bella like that? And why does Bella keep squinting her face?" I told her how there were women calling themselves Twimamas when the movies came out and she found it hilarious.

.....to have taken Natalie to look at Homecoming Mums because we live in Texas, and wearing them on during Homecoming week is a thing. I am not crafty, but someone in the neighborhood makes them.

.....to currently be reading Yoga Pant Nation by Laurie Gelman. If you want to laugh, pick this up.

....to have got my first Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino from Starbucks. I get mine cream based since I don't like coffee, and it's incredible. Also, Starbucks is in Target, which is another fave, so it's like the best of both worlds.

  1. It's okay that it's only Tuesday after a long weekend and I'm already tired. I suppose it'll take a bit of time to get back into the groove of things.

  4. I'm glad people are speaking up, too! Putting Starbucks in Targets was a million-dollar idea, for sure! Looking into Yoga Pant Nation - sounds good!

  5. Twilight brings so many memories. I didn't realize it was such a long time ago since it was shown. I'm not rewatching it though. Haha.

  6. Haha I love this movie but it's really kinda funny how these two lead actors do the things, squinting and staring.

  7. I'm actually a big twilight fan, not the movies, hate those, but the books, I discovered them whne I was in a really bad place as a teen and they were a bit of a lifeline to me.

  8. I did like the Twilight movies. Mine are still a bit young for them though to watch them with me. I want to try that Frappuccino. Better get down to Starbucks.
