I got this idea from Glamour magazine. You can link up any day of the week. All you have to do is make a list of what you're okay about. Simple! Please do not link up a post that has nothing to do with Hey, It's Okay. It's rude and I'll delete the link.
HEY, IT'S OKAY....
.....to have seen Toy Story 4 and cried. My daughter did as well. It was the ending. (But we loved Forky!)
.....to love that my neighborhood lights up with fireworks on the 4th of July. It means we don't have to go out into the crowds to find them. We just watch from our front yard.
.....to be going downtown tomorrow. Our nieces are coming into town. It's been a while since we've even been downtown, so it should be fun. I hope we don't get lost. If my husband relies on me for directions, we will.
....to want to see a lot of movies: Yesterday, Spiderman 2, The Lion King...I'm sure there's more!
.....to have nearly cried when I saw my son in his graduation gown for senior photos. He graduates in 2020 and they do them early in case retakes are needed. I'm going to be a wreck this year, I won't lie.
I love your It's Okay posts! They're so full of truths! Glad you liked TS4! Still need to take the kids!
ReplyDeleteSo many good things!... I'd say even better than "okay". Especially all the emotion! These sorts of things make life so beautiful...
ReplyDeleteAll these are great i need to watch toy story 4. Your son looks great in his gown.
ReplyDeleteI cried at the end of Toy Story 3 so I assume I'll cry for the 4th one as well. Although I hope my neighborhood doesn't light up with fireworks - it's incredibly scary for my dogs.
ReplyDeleteI didn't cry at Toy Story 4 but I wasn't happy! Tommy looks great in his gown!
ReplyDeleteOk I teared up a little seeing your son in his graduation gown.... I've been a long time follower of your blog and have watched your kids grown!! Can't believe he is about to graduate!!!
ReplyDeleteTime does go by so fast. Your son looks great in his cap and gown.
ReplyDeleteKids grow very fast, you must have been really proud of your son! I need to find some time to watch lots of movies, too! :)
ReplyDeleteI always loved this segment in Glamour magazine, so fun! There are soo many good movies out this summer, I really want to see Toy Story 4 and The Lion King. I recently saw Aladdin and The Secret Life of Pets 2 and loved them both!
ReplyDeleteI definitely am going to be a wreck when my kid graduates! Thank goodness I still have a couple of years but I totally understand the feeling. That picture of him is outstanding. There's no retakes for him.
ReplyDeleteMy son almost spoiled Toy Story 4 for me. I stopped him just in the nick of time before he gave away the ending. High school graduations are such bitter sweet moments. I love your son's photo. It's great!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for my brothers to graduate (I finance their studies so they better graduate!)! I'm sure I'm gonna cry ugly. hahaha! And congratulations for your son upcoming graduation!
ReplyDeleteI remember seeing my daughter in her cap and gown it took my breath away! I cried the whole year, but now she's grown married and we have GRANDKIDS!!! (Rena)
ReplyDeleteI still need to see the new Toy Story. It looks really funny!
ReplyDeleteOh I need to give myself more breaks. It doesn't help to feel guilty for all the things I can't accomplish. It's okay!!! :)
ReplyDeleteHaving some fireworks to watch near your house definitely sounds nice. We usually have to travel to see them.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see The Lion King and Spiderman!!! I am totally going to the movies this weekend!!
ReplyDeleteThe convenience of watching fireworks from your front yard is priceless! No fighting crowds to arrive or leave! Have a safe and happy Fourth of July!
ReplyDeleteI cried in Toy Story 4 as well. My son was making fun of me. He's a brat.;)
ReplyDeleteI know I'm going to cry in Toy Story 4. I'll probably cry in Lion King too!
ReplyDeleteSpider-Man Far From Home is a great film. Don't forget to stay for the 2 post credit scenes.
ReplyDeleteMy son is going to be a junior this coming school year and just like you, I think I'm going to cry too once I see him in his graduation gown.

I haven't seen Toy Story 4 yet. I really want to take my daughters to see it though. We loved all the others.
ReplyDeleteI am so loving this blog! I hope you are having a fun 4th of July! And Congratulations in advance for your son.
ReplyDeleteThere are a lot of movies that I'd like to see as well. I probably won't see most of them until they come to TV, but that's okay with me. Your son looks great in his graduation gown. I remember being a nervous wreck when my oldest kid was a senior.
ReplyDeleteIt's really okay for these things to happen. We haven't seen Toy Story 4 yet, though so I'll be ready to cry.
