Easter With Older Kids

My kids are both adults now, but yes, they still get Easter Baskets.

And not the ones that circulate around the web of older kids holding baskets filled with cleaners. No, but kids will probably always get regular Easter gifts.

We had brunch with my Mom and it was delicious. I filled my plate with meats, mashed potatoes, veggies, desserts...

We saw the bizarre Easter message from Felon 47. I just...I do not understand. No wonder other countries are embarrassed for us. And then the actual White House page shared it and it's just like ?!

I was happy Tommy was able to visit from college and spend Easter with us. I always love to see him. He'll be done with this semester next month and then will be home for a while.

And yes, we still had an Easter Egg Hunt. The kids take it seriously and will knock each other over for eggs. Watch out.

I hope everyone who celebrates had a wonderful Easter.

  2. I too have older kids and I just get them snacks that they love. This year it was marshmallow fluff, ramen, and veggie chips.

  3. My kids are about your kids age. It is funny because they aren't as excited about holidays, but they really are still a little excited for things like Easter baskets :)

  4. Sounds like a wonderful Easter with your family. We had a really great family time on Easter Sunday too. I cooked the side dishes for Easter dinner at my in law's house and then played pickleball with my crew before that. So fun!

  6. Sounds like a lovely Easter! Our daughter is away at college, so we got together with extended family and watched the little cousins search for eggs.

  7. It's great to hear that both of your children were able to be home to celebrate Easter with you. Mine love Easter goodies too. The older ones look forward to their goodies as much as the little one.

  8. Same here! My daughters are all adults now and still want eggs and candy like they’re 8 again. LOL, I love giving them their baskets every year though!
