Eclectic & Groovy At Gratitude In Port Aransas

I don't really have a decor theme in my home. Some areas have Disney decor, other spots are Gilmore Girls. There's the areas with frames and another with books stacked up.

Basically, it can be described as quirky. Or, if you want to be mean, messy.

It works for me though. I would hate a modern home. A minimalist one would make me nervous. I have been in minimalist homes and while I respect those who prefer the style, I always wonder where the stuff is. I could not sit in a room with a white couch and off white walls and no stuff.

So yes, I like my things. Marie Kondo would be disappointed. Or she'd pass out before she even stepped foot in the house because my front yard has lots of stuff too. Garden flags, a metal alien, and fake flowers since I cannot grow them. Yes, they all bring me joy.

Anyhow, while we were in Port Aransas, I looked up fun stores. Sure you'll get all those tourist stores where towels are 2 for $10, and they're nice and all, but I like small town stores. Think Stars Hollow. I found it in Gratitude

It is owned by Sally, who has fabulous short colored hair. A blind dog hangs out behind the counter and will wander out to accept a quick pet. It's a small store, but it packs a lot in all the nooks and cranies. Frames. Jewelry. Bags. Coasters. The sign describes it is eclectic, which is perfect.

Oh, and there is glitter on the floor. I didn't take photos inside because I was too busy marveling at it all. But the outside?

I just love all the colors and all the STUFF.  Yes, those are legs coming out from under the store. LEGS. And there's a bubble machine that continuously blows out bubbles.

Maybe it's a good thing that I did not capture the inside. It adds to the mystery. If you want to see it, go visit.

Curious on what I got? Well. This sticker.

And this:

Finally, this coaster, because it's so true. Do not try and offer me Diet Pepsi.

If you do visit Gratitude, let me know what you get. They are located right by the Crazy Cajun Restaurant.
