Family Summer Fun At Aquatica With AquaGlow

It is hot in Texas. Like triple digit hot some days. I feel like I have constant boob sweat. So everyone is always looking for ways to cool down.

We have Aquatica nearby, which is a fantastic water park. But it can get horribly crowded during the day to the point where it can get unpleasant. To the point where I'll take the boob sweat over being around swarms of humans.

Cue AquaGlow--it's an evening event at Aquatica that happens most nights until August 2nd from 8 PM-10. With an AquaGlow ticket, you can show up as early as 6.

It is a separate ticket, but only limited amounts can be purchased, so AquaGlow will never be overly crowded.

Natalie is a fan of the stingrays, so we had to go over and say hello when we first arrived:

The foam party was going strong. We danced to the catchy music as the foam floated around us:

The foam does keep coming:

As soon as the sun goes down, the vibe changes, and the neon lights glow. We had to visit the lazy river AKA Loggerhead Lane.

All the thrill rides are open as well. The wait times are short, which is another benefit of AquaGlow. During the day Natalie has waited up to an hour to go down a slide. For AquaGlow she waited 5 minutes.

Yes, there is plenty of food and drinks for sale--they have fun glowing beverages!

The wave pool is always a hit, but warning, those waves are no joke.

Natalie loved the waves. I stayed back because I was worried my phone would be knocked from my hands and it's already on its last leg. (It's a 12.)

We ended up having the best time. The hours flew by.

To learn more about AquaGlow & to purchase tickets, check it out here. This is the perfect summer event. It'll tire out the kids for sure. We will be returning.

  1. Looks like Natalie had a great time, as did you! I know I will be visiting San Antonio again (fell in love with it when I visited earlier this year, it was too short a trip so will come again and keep these places in mind that you have shared)
