Hey, It's Okay

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. You can link up any day of the week. All you have to do is make a list of what you're okay about. Simple! Please do not link up a post that has nothing to do with Hey, It's Okay. It's rude and I'll delete the link.

HEY, IT'S OKAY....

.....to have put on Beaches for my birthday since Natalie had never seen it. She said it was good, other than the dying and all. Next up? Fried Green Tomatoes.

......to be watching The Good Place with Tommy. I know about the show but never watched it--neither has he, so it's been fun seeing it together. We like it!

.....to be thinking of all the military families impacted from the strike on Iran. I know Iran retaliated and hit US bases there. Tom was once stationed at the one in Qatar.  He is retired now, but it'll always be terrifying.

....to have had the best time at the beach in Port Aransas. If you're heading to the area, I have tips on what to do and where to go.

....to have enjoyed The Griffin Sisters' Greatest Hits by Jennifer Weiner. It's about Cassie & Zoe Grossberg, who become famous at a young age for being in a band called The Griffin Sister. It's the prodigy Cassie who is most of the talent, but Zoe has the looks and can shake a tambourine, so she's involved as well. Cassie is shy and hates being around people, so she struggles with the fame--meanwhile, Zoe loves it. But catastrophe happens and the band breaks up--Cassie goes off the grid and Zoe hits rock bottom. Will the sister even reunite again? This was a fantastic read and I won't give it away, but you will be hoping Zoe and Cassie make up before it's too late. It was also neat to read what it's truly like to be in a band on tour--it's not all flowers & money.

  1. What an interesting idea! I don't quite understand how it works though. You'll have to share.

  2. I haven't read a Jennifer Weiner book in a while, but I know I've enjoyed her books. This sounds like a good one.

  5. Life can be heavy, but little things like a good show (The Good Place was SO good!) really help lift the mood.

  8. I am also thinking about everyone who are directly affected by the war. I hope there won't be any more strikes in the near future. Lives are precious and it pains me to think that many innocent lives will be lost as a collateral damage.
