Venetian Hot Plate At Port Aransas

I mean, you know a restaurant is fabulous when there is a sign like this on the front door:

However, they don't enforce it. There was a toddler screeching and racing around when we were there and nothing happened. Ah, well.

But I still recommend Venetian Hot Plate if you're in Port Aransas. We've been going for years and the food is always scrumptious.

We started off with garlic bread and it comes with oil to dip it in.

Here's part of the menu. Seafood is a popular choice, but I'm weird and do not like seafood. So I get the pasta with steak bites. The meat is always tender.

This was my delicious pasta:

My Mom loves her seafood, so she got the shrimp plate. We liked how the potatoes were in the shape of mushrooms:

Yes, everything was fresh. Since they are right by the gulf, everything is plucked right out of the water that day.

Dessert is also a win, but we were all full this time. I have had the creme brûlée in the past, so order that.

Venetian Hot Plate is open Tuesday-Saturday from 5PM-close and they are closed Sunday. Let me know if you stop in!
