There's something peaceful about the 1980s. There were no cell phones and kids actually played outside for hours. The 1980s also gave us some nostalgic movies: ET, Sixteen Candles, The Princess Bride, Beetlejuice...the list goes on and on.
I was thrilled to find these ornaments at Walmart. I mean, who doesn't love a John Hughes classic? And the soundtrack? "Don't you...forget about me.." Arm up in the air!
The ornaments are $8.16 each.
Okay, so this movie was actually made in 1978, but close enough. (Remember the zit scene?)
I only found these 4, but perhaps there will be others in the future?
Do you have a favorite 80s film?
These ornaments are so cool! I think I would want the Breakfast Club & Sixteen Candles. For some years my mom had an entire Christmas Tree dedicated to A Christmas Story movie lol
ReplyDeleteAll these are my husband's favorite movies to watch. The Breakfast Club is my favorite movie from the 80's.
ReplyDeleteThose Christmas ornaments look classic. I really enjoy the older movies.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I have seen any of the movies featured on the ornaments that you showed. They certainly are different for Christmas ornaments but perfect for fans of all of those movies!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun collection! I'm an 80's kid so I would love some of these.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, these are cute and cool ornaments, and they become special because you were able to buy an ornament with photos of your favorite classic movies
ReplyDeleteWow, these 1980s film ornaments are amazing! They really bring back that cozy retro feeling, reminds me of simpler days. Seeing stuff like this makes me think of how nostalgia hits even in gaming. Lately, I’ve been obsessed with the basketball legends game, it’s got that same old-school vibe, fun, competitive, and packed with character. Just like those classic movies, it never gets old!
ReplyDeleteI am loving these and am overdue for a visit to my local Walmart and cant wait as I want to check out all of these cool ornaments. I love them all!
