I got this idea from Glamour magazine. You can link up any day of the week. All you have to do is make a list of what you're okay about. Simple! Please do not link up a post that has nothing to do with Hey, It's Okay. It's rude and I'll delete the link.
HEY, IT'S OKAY....
.....to be excited that cooler weather is FINALLY coming to Texas later this week. It's going to dip into the 50s. I can FINALLY wear my sweatshirts.
......to be watching the new Carrie series on Prime Video. It's pretty good. I read the book years ago and watched the movie with Sissy Spacek. This one is set in current times, so you have the aspect of cyber bullying as well.
......to be glad that the majority of people seem to agree that Christopher Columbus discovered nothing. (The Vikings had always landed where he arrived 500 years prior...and hello, indigenous people had been there for centuries.)
......to be eager to read Collin Gosselin's book In The Shadow Of Eight: Surviving The Reality Of My Childhood. I watched Jon and Kate Plus 8, and it seemed obvious that Kate had some issues. In the book, Collin is raw & open about what he experienced--and how his own mother tossed him into an institution.
.....to not care what is in Diet Coke. I drink it daily. And I wear while awesome Diet Coke socks while doing it.

I agree with everything on this list...except the Diet Coke (only because I'm not a big soda person LOL). We haven't started Carrie but plan to & can't wait for the cooler weather to make its way to FL.
ReplyDeleteI love the reminder that it’s okay to be imperfect and give ourselves grace in everyday life. Sometimes we all need a little reassurance that we’re doing the best we can, even when things don’t go as planned. Thanks for sharing these relatable thoughts!

Finally getting to pull out your sweatshirts is a reason to celebrate! Cooler weather always puts me in a cozy mood. Those Diet Coke socks made me smile too. You are definitely enjoying your favorite drink in style!
ReplyDeleteHahaha. It's definitely okay to love Diet Coke and not know what's in it. I do, as well! I figure it's better than other things I could be drinking, anyways.
ReplyDeleteSo many people are married to the idea of Columbus discovering American, and I don't understand it. Factually speaking, it just is not true.
ReplyDeleteI'm a fellow Diet Coke lover, and I don't care what's in it. It has to be better than liquid sugar.
ReplyDeleteThat should be interesting to read Collin Gosselin's story. I have been seeing bits and pieces pop up on social media. That seemed like an odd family dynamic.
ReplyDeleteIt's okay it's gonna be winter soon. Back to minus Celsius here in Finland. It's beautiful and magical with snow, but it's cold! Hahaha!
ReplyDeleteI used to live in Texas for years and like you, I get excited when the weather gets cooler and I can wear warmer clothes. I also saw the Carrie series trailer and I want to see that too.
ReplyDeleteI remember the Gosselin family and their reality show from way back when. I'm going to check out the book and catch up on a couple of other features you mentioned. Oh yeah, and Columbus discovered his own fantasy, not the indigenous people's land! Haha
