Hey, It's Okay Tuesday!

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. They have a section called Hey, It’s Okay and will list a bunch of things to be okay about. You're welcome to join in and do something like this on your blog. Doesn't have to be on a Tuesday either. Just make sure you link up and that the post you link up is a Hey, It's Okay Post. Grab the button if you'd like!

--For my first instinct when I saw the tax refund in the account to be, "We're rich!" Natalie was like, "Yay!" Then I paid off everything. "We're no longer rich!" Right on cue, Natalie was like, "Aw." You can file your income tax online like we did. It's incredibly easy and usually the tax refund arrives within three weeks.

--To have wanted to run to Target for a shopping spree when I saw the refund. But then I remembered I had to be a Responsible Adult.

--To be glad the car is now completely paid off. We are totally debt free. This is an amazing thing, considering how often I'm at Target.

--To have recorded the new Walking Dead. I promised Tom I'd watch with him. We're also doing this with The Blacklist and The Americans. I'm an impatient person, so this is DIFFICULT. Could I fib and watch? Yes. But then I'd feel guilty. He's over there for our freedom, and I can't wait to watch a fictional show? (No!) (Yes.)

--To not be doing anything for Valentine's Day. Tom is gone. I might order a pizza. What are you doing?

--To still think Kanye is an ass. I saw the highlights from the Grammys. Can Hollywood just kick him out?

--To have LAUGHED when I saw the preview for the new Magic Mike movie. Men gyrating at me has never turned me on. And that pony song in the background? It was all the rage when I was in high school so I just picture pimply kids being ridiculous whenever I hear it.

--To love Golden Corral so much. I usually try out all the desserts:

  4. Hope Tom gets to come home soon. You have a lot of willpower to wait on all those shows.
Celebrate how fabulous you are on V-day, as well as do something special with your kids.
    Congrats on becoming debt free!

  7. Yay for no more car loan! Congrats!

I don't think that we are doing anything too exciting for V-Day. My husband will probably make dinner and we'll eat at home. Nothing special.

I lost the rest of the little respect I had for Kanye when he married Kim. I hope he goes away soon.

  8. Oh tax refunds...I made a list of where ours is going so I don't try to go have any fun with it! We won't be debt free with this one, but hopefully we'll be closer!

  9. I just found your blog and I love it!

We will be doing the same thing with our refund =( I wish just one year we could do something fun with it lol.
I also love Golden Corral. It's so good! I can't stand Kanye. When he comes on tv I change the channel.

  10. Kanye is an ass and society continues to let him by buying into his shit. *shrug* I feel the same way about taxes. I start planning vacations and then pay bills instead. As for Valentine's, we have no plans, lol.

  11. Hooray for the tax refund and paying everything off!!!
I can't even remember the last time I went to Golden Corral.

  12. I also laughed at Magic Mike. They look preposterous.

    Hurrah for debt-free!

We don't really do anything for Valentine's day. We're getting massages...but not together. LOL. We'll probably pick up chinese food. the only thing about Valentine's Day that interests me is that it is an excuse for dessert.

  19. I may have to use some tax $ to fix car - the ABS breaks or something are gone.

Oh I wait on the Walking Dead because my husband can't watch Sundays but only for few days. that's nice you can hold out on them :)

I also love Blacklist - but my husband doesn't care about that one ha-ha :)

  20. I watched the first Magic Mike with a bunch of friends. I just kept thinking that I could never go to a male show, because I would be horrified and laughing all at the same time. That's probably not the reaction they're looking for. I have no desire to see the next one.
For Valentine's this year, I'm going to try and take my hubby to a movie. I have no idea what's playing, and he may be too tired, but we'll see :)

  21. Cracking up about kicking Kanye out of Hollywood. I vote yes!

  22. Good for you for having your taxes done! We're not even close to working on ours yet.

  23. Omg Walking Dead! So good this season!
And Magic Mike...I think I'll pass on that just like I'm passing on 50 Shades of S&M or whatever it is the kids are racing off to the movies to see...

  24. Kanye - YES. He is a total douche. I like his music but his general ass-hattery makes me want to just boycott him altogether, as I wish the rest of the world would do.

Magic Mike - OMG. I've never been a male stripper type either. I have no desire to gaze upon anyone as though they're a piece of meat, or have them bump and grind all over me. It is this same feeling that makes me never, ever want to read or see anything Fifty Shades-related.

  25. Kanye is a waste of air. I am not doing anything, except probably taking the girls out to eat. My car will be paid off this year and I can't wait. I felt the same way about my refund. Being responsible sucks some times.

  26. I'm not turned on by Magic Mike either. I'm not so visual, really. I suppose I can be, but I have to have the emotional connection first, so I've never really been one to crush on anyone famous.
Except Desmond on LOST but he's not a real man. He's a character.

We were credit card debt free for 2014. Car debt free would make for a great 2015!

  27. not sure why everyone is making a big deal about the whole kanye thing...i thought it was just a joke -- he even seemed like he was laughing when he turned around.
