Hey, It's Okay

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. You can link up any day of the week. All you have to do is make a list of what you're okay about. Simple! Please do not link up a post that has nothing to do with Hey, It's Okay. It's rude and I'll delete the link.

HEY, IT'S OKAY....

.....to think the original Baby It's Cold Outside is fine. I don't get why people freak out about it. The version with John Legend and Kelly Clarkson is pleasant, but doesn't beat the original.

.....to always be tempted to write "we do 4X2" when people post about doing the 4 gift rule for Christmas. It's awesome if that's what you want to do, but it's not for everyone. Some people seem to want to guilt people into doing this. Some are genuinely just sharing the idea, but some are like, "If you buy a lot of toys for your kids, you're doing it wrong," and it's like, "pardon ME?" (I wrote a post about not feeling guilty if you do holidays differently here.)

......to have watched Dr. Oz interview Jon Gosselin and was like, "Yikes." I guess Jon had a 10 year gag order so he couldn't talk about his marriage with Kate. He said some pretty outrageous things, but most I wasn't surprised with. (They did a show called Jon and Kate + 8.)

.....to currently be reading Christmas Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella. It's amusing--if you liked the other Shopaholic books, you'll like this one.

.....to have thought this rainbow tree that I saw at the store At Home is awesome:

  1. I do not understand why people need to guilt others during the holidays. A friend of mine posted about being careful about telling kids what Santa sent because it makes others feel bad. I think you should just do you and not worry about it. It's ridiculous.

  3. Honestly I think we should do what we think is right for our family and let everybody else just live their own life. It's the holidays and if I want to give a million gifts at my business.

  5. I like this list. But I have to go find the link to that interview with Dr. Oz and Jon Gosselin, lol. I know he did a lot of inappropriate things and I'm not excusing that, but the pressure he lived under that was obvious on-screen makes me realize even more was happening behind closed doors. And the poor kids.

  6. That tree is a lot of fun but not quite the traditional tree we all picture. I like the old classic songs but have to give the new version a chance too.

  8. That three is pretty cool. I am all about weird stuff so my Christmas tree actually has a wonky top that hangs. And only one bauble, on the top.

  10. I haven't heard the remake but I'm an old fashioned girl and prefer the older songs and movies. And I must see the Dr. Oz interview with Jon. I pretty much thought he dropped off the face of the earth.

  14. The rainbow tree looks super cute! I think it's a great fancy addition as not only a Christmas or seasonal decor but all year round. It's also a good conversation starter to have in a home.

  22. It always surprises me when someone thinks that everyone else needs to something the way that they do it (especially celebrations!) We didn't really have to worry about social media when my kids were small, so I think people were more content to just be themselves and let other people do their thing.

  30. Know whether you are making a short-term satta king purchase or a long-term purchase. Play Bazar This will allow you to develop your budget for the property. When considering purchasing a fixer-upper, you need to ensure you can afford the renovations and still make a profit. If you're purchasing property but aren't going to be able to sell it right away, you can spend more if you need to.
