Glitter Is Everywhere At The Cake Bake Shop

Would you pay $22 for a slice of cake?

Normally I'd say no. I mean, I shop on a budget. $22 could buy me a WHOLE cake at Walmart. But I always heard the cake slices at The Cake Bake Shop on the boardwalk at Walt Disney World was delicious. So I got curious.

Plus, I heard everything was covered in glitter and I was intrigued. Everything? Truly?

Yeah. Truly.

You see it more on the brownies. But there is gold glitter served on everything, I assure you.

Oh, and it's a small shop, so there will probably be a line to get in, but ours moved fast. We only waited for about 5 minutes or so before we were let in. And yes, there is an actual restaurant too! I'm told it's beautiful but the food is average, so you're mostly going for the atmosphere.

Anyhow, here is the menu for the bakery and if it is too small to read, click here.

They have many varieties of cakes, baked goods, drinks, etc...

And there is also merch for sale!

Want a top that says The Cake Bake shop? They have you covered.

It truly is pretty inside.

I was drooling over everything but knew we were only in for the cake slice. $22. For CAKE. But. But. But. Look. LOOK! So many choices. Beside the cake.

Oh, and it's like a feminine version of Willy Wonka's Factory inside. I almost wanted one of the workers to break out into song and start tossing candy at us.

Oh, don't forget to look up while inside.

I want my living room to look like this.

Anyhow, so curious on what we got? Did we stick to just ordering the cake slice?

Erm.

No.

Behold the lavender lemonade. In our defense, it was super hot outside and we knew we'd need something to sip on while eating the cake. And yes, there's glitter in the drinks too. And yes, the lemonade was delicious and fresh.

Then I thought, well, what on earth does Unicorn ice cream taste like? So we had to try that as well. And yes. Glitter on top. It tasted like cotton candy a bit. We liked it. Apparently it's also made fresh.

And finally, the main event. The cake. We weren't sure what flavor we wanted. In the end we went with Neapolitan so we could try a variety of flavors.

Was the slice worth $22? Erm, no. Don't get me wrong, it was tasty.  Soft. And it is large, so you can share. But it didn't taste any better than our local bakery. It was certainly pretty. But I don't think I'd pay $22 for a slice of cake there. I'd probably try another baked good next time unless there was a cake flavor that sounded scrumptious.

I recommend stopping into The Cake Bake Shop if you're a fan of sweets. And if anything, you'll get some social media pics. All that glitter. All that pink! It's an influencer's dream.
