Howl-O-Scream Is Back At SeaWorld

 Hooray for Spooky Season!

I love the haunted houses, the decor, the characters...

And you get all those things at Howl-O-Scream! It's at SeaWorld, and I was lucky enough to be invited to check it out on the first day it returned.

We've gone every year since we've moved to Texas and it does not disappoint. This year there are 8 terror-tories and 6 haunted houses. Plus entertainment!

Now, if you have people in your party who do NOT like the spooks, it's okay, the entire park doesn't turn frightening. You'll find signs like these when we approach the scary area. And the rest of your party DOES want to venture inside, there are necklaces that can be purchased so the scare actors know to leave them alone.

We loved all the fabulous photo props sprinkled around:

Check out this popcorn bucket! I was tempted, as I'm a huge fan of Sesame Street. The current administration might have canceled PBS, but luckily Netflix is sane so Sesame Street will resume over there.

We encountered many characters as we headed to all the haunted houses. Clearly I have no spatial awareness because sometimes I had no idea one had been following me for over a minute:

We made some friends:

We walked through all the terror-tories and were impressed by the costumes and makeup of the scare actors:

Howl-O-Scream is from 7-10 PM from Friday-Sunday until November 1st, so there is plenty of time to join in on the spooky adventures:

Yes, there are also bars with special concoctions. I just do not partake as I am a lightweight and being buzzed while going through haunted houses would not be a great idea.

I do recommend spending the extra money on Fear Passes to skip the lines--they can get long.

We will be returning before Howl-O-Scream is over.

Are you into the haunts during spooky season?

  9. I love how you captured the essence of Howl-O-Scream at SeaWorld! The mix of spooky fun and family-friendly elements makes it a standout Halloween event. The 'No Boo' necklaces are a thoughtful touch for those who prefer to enjoy the atmosphere without the scares. Your photos and descriptions really bring the experience to life—I can almost hear the eerie music and feel the thrill of the haunted houses. Can't wait to see what new frights next year will bring.

  10. I used to like haunted houses and going to Halloween theme parks in my college years. Too much of a scaredy cat now though.

  11. This sounds like such a fun time! Love that they go all out with the haunted houses and themed areas. Also totally agree on skipping the drinks... haunted houses are scary enough without being tipsy!
