Fashion Shows R Us

So it's no secret that I love buying cute outfits for my kids.

I can't help it.

Some people are all, "I don't bother getting the cute outfits because my kids outgrow it in a month." Not mine. I gave birth to incredibly skinny children who can remain in an outfit for over a year. Heck, my daughter is 2 and she can still fit into some 12-18 clothes.

Anyhow, I have some pictures. It's getting chilly over here which means it's time to break out the fall clothes!

I fell in love with the owl vest and had to have it.

How do I get her to laugh? I jump around and sing creepy Yo Gabba Gabba songs. Yes, my neighbors think I'm crazy. They've walked by several times. One guy shouted, "Nice song!" when I was singing about not biting your friends.

My neighbors also think I'm nuts because I do things like this:

What? So it's not normal to pose in sixteenth century clothing in your front yard? I once went outside and attempted to tend to the plants that I attempted to grow over the summer in this dress hoping that it would make gardening more exciting. It didn't. I was still bored and still wonder what people see in it. I suppose the outcome is nice but the problem is, I can't GET to the outcome. Oh well. And yes, I will be wearing this dress on Halloween. Maybe I'll even curtsy to the kids who come to the door and be like, "How does thou do this evening?"

Then Natalie started a conversation with a stick. Should I be concerned?

***Cue Muzak for the outfit change. La la la why do birds, suddenly appear....***

This would also be perfect for Valentine's Day.

Love this picture even though she seems really attached to those stick things..

She's all, "Yo. If you like these clothes, shop at Crazy8."

Her reaction when I told her we were out of Hershey Kisses. She's all, "WTF woman? You best be getting me some more chocolate."

She's all, "I know. I don't get the purpose of Dancing with the Stars either. If the show went away, there could be so many other shows in its place. It's on the air too much!"

  4. I hate dancing with the stars and the picture where she is talking to the stick is adorable

  5. I watched Yo Gabba Gabba one time with my son. Once. That night, I had a horrific nightmare about being chased in a dark alley by people wearing skin tight, colorful leotards while eerily chanting something about there being parties in their tummies...

  8. Don't I love your dress! Natalie's outfits are cute and all, but that dress is just great!

  9. You both are adorable! I feel like I need to put on some fancy, old fashion, dress and go sit in my yard. My neighbors would probably really enjoy that. I saw my neighbor sitting in her driveway the other day with a blue curly wig on. Still wondering why...

  10. Okay--the pictures? Just fabulous! And I've gotta say, how can you not love a song about not biting your friends? When Nicholas was little, I felt like a broken record--"No bites! No bites!" I think a song might have broken up the monotony a little.

I've got to disagree with you on Dancing With the Stars, though. That's some quality entertainment!

  11. Now I'm very tempted to go skating in fancy dress....

I had this song in my head until the "Don't bite Your Friends" bit, thanks to Yo Gabba Gabba...

    IT'S FUN TO MAKE LEMONADE
    IT'S FUN TO MAKE LEMONADE
    IT'S FUN TO MAKE LEMONADE
AND THIS IS HOW YA DO IT (but you must sing it very pronounced & dramatized like on the show)

    enjoy that!! ;)

  20. She is the cutest kid ever. And that's a lot coming from me, I have a TON of cousins AND I work in child care.

  22. Good lord..it's illegal to be as cute as she is. Seriously. Illegal.

  23. The clothing is quite cute, esp. the owl vest, but your little one is ADORE-able. What a personality-packed cutie-pie. How do you keep from eating her up?

    ReplyDelete
  24. Your house is fun and fashionable! Love the personalities!

    ReplyDelete
  25. What will you do with out gymboree!!!I know that I probably spelled this wrong :-(

    Your daughter is absolutely adorable.

  26. I think "There's a Party in my Tummy" is my favorite YGG song.

That hat/beret is SO CUTE. My daughter is going to be three and refuses to let me put anything in her hair. The androgeny is killing me. She looks like one of the Bad News Bears.

  27. She is a cutie patootie! She looks like she loves to model - she's a natural!

Your outfit is quite fancy, but to garden? I don't think so. Your neighbors must enjoy you and your family!

  28. How can you not take advantage of this fabulous model? Heidi Klum may have started this way.

Is that a Ren Fest Dress? I love it. Both daughters 2 and 3 worked at a Red Fest where their jobs demanded they wear authentic, period attire the entire 8 weeks of the program. It suits you.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Yo! Your kiddo is rockin' those outfits and you are too cute (for some reason I thought you'd look a little bit more like your cartoon character). Guess not.

    ;)

    ReplyDelete
  30. She is so beautiful! I love how vividly you describe her personality. I feel like I know her! Great picture of you, too. :)

    ReplyDelete
  31. Precious, precious girl. What's Crazy 8's? That vest looked very Gymboree to me. Love it! My little birdy would likey. I'm sure of it. Please give more details on your retail obsession. My kids would say "copy cat". So what!

  38. Awww... someone once told me the secret to great pictures is a good subject...

And you got the cutest subjects on Earth! Yes, I meant subjectS.

I love that sixteenth century outfit too - although weeding and putting in pansies and marigolds with it on... I don't know..... Maybe that's what happens when you talk to sticks? :)

They just opened a Crazy8 in the mall near my house and I went a little crazy buying my nephews some outfits. Crap, I'm gonna be poor when I have kids!

    ReplyDelete
  41. I loved the post, but I'm so distracted by the overwhelming cuteness that is your daughter. You really should look into modeling.

    ReplyDelete
  42. She is so cute she could really be a child model. I love the lst outfit but this last one with the matching hat is the bomb.

    ReplyDelete
  43. she is so so so adorable!!! aww!! I love the little owl vest:) and the cool renaissancy outfit is awesome!
