This is Tommy.
He’s 8 and is about to start third grade.
He’s as loud as he looks.
He thinks things like farts and Jake Pavelka trying to act are hilarious.
He wants to know about everything.
How do tornados form?
Will I ever be a really fast swimmer?
Do girls think I’m cute?
Why is Ryan Seacrest so short?
Tommy has something called Aspergers.
But it doesn’t bother him.
Because he plans on conquering the world.

"He wants to know about everything." Start now with the listening. You lean so much from kids. Your son is very adorable and will grow to be quite handsome. Sometimes you can look at a boy and see the adult.
ReplyDeleteHe is so cute! Thanks for sharing the pictures. You have a great attitude about aspergers and I am glad Tommy does not let it bother him.
ReplyDeleteYou are an awesome mom and a brave woman to continue to live in Wyoming while Tom is away.
If I need a lift I read your blog and always end up smiling. You are a great writer with a good sense of humor.
Darling post!!! I love the faces...beautiful blue eyes...wow!
ReplyDeleteYup, I can definitely see Tommy taking the world by storm (so to speak. Because you know, of his fondness for tornadoes). And wowing the girls with those gorgeous eyes and beautiful smile!
ReplyDeleteHow cute! Love the one where he is laughing!
ReplyDeleteyou go tommy! the world could use some conquering about now...
ReplyDeleteTommy is a doll, and I believe he CAN conquer the world!
ReplyDeleteMy cousin's son has Asperger's, so I know something about the challenges you-all face. He's lucky to have such a great mom!
Such an adorable boy!! I hope he has a great year!
ReplyDeleteP.S. Did you read Jodi Piccoult's book about the boy with Asberger's? This is maybe a stupid question, but just wondering if it's actually anything like she portrayed it?
You have some cute kids. And I hope Tommy totally rocks 3rd grade!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful little boy. BTW what kind of camera do you use? the lighting or the camera (or the kid!) or something is really superb about these pics.
ReplyDeleteOh, and I havent forgotten about the apron but I have this part time job thingy I have been working on... I will get to it soon!!
Of course he does...and with a smile like that he will surely succeed!
ReplyDeleteTommy is absolutely adorable. And you're a fabulous photographer.
ReplyDeleteI have no doubt that Tommy won't conquer the world, he is such a sweet kid who wont let anything or anyone stop him!
ReplyDeleteI love working with kids who have aspergers and autism. They're usually the sweetest ones around. Tommy really can do anything he wants! Let him know that!
ReplyDeletethe world is Tommy's to conquer! I have no doubt!
ReplyDeleteI love the photos and comments :)
ReplyDeleteMy youngest brother has aspbergers and you know what?I think you are right that it cant stop him from conquering the world... It's just sad how some people are so ignorant and nasty to anyone thats different...
And Tommy will succeed. Good luck in Grade 3, Tommy.
ReplyDeleteSnap. I usually don't comment if there's a crap load of comments already - but he is just far too cute not to echo what everyone else has already said. So cute - I love it!
ReplyDeleteHe is such a handsome little boy. Truly!
ReplyDeleteMy cousin has Asperger's too, and he's living a great life.
What a cutie!
ReplyDeleteMy nephew (who will be 5 in October) was just diagnosed with Asperger's.
