I got this idea from Glamour magazine. They have a section called Hey, It’s Okay and will list a bunch of things to be okay about. You're welcome to join in and do something like this on your diary. Doesn't have to be on a Tuesday either.
----------------------
To be happy that there is a Krispy Kreme near us. So many have closed.
To not care about Kim Kardashian’s wedding. One of her sisters compared it to the Royal Wedding. What?
To love candy stores as much as the kids.
To hope Natalie has fun at ballet today. It’s her first class. Let her not collapse on the floor and refuse to get up.
To walk into a room and forget why you went in there in the first place.
To want to enter more sweepstakes thanks to the new TLC show High Stakes Sweepers.
To have been trying to change my About Me section in my blog but I keep getting error messages. I’m trying to switch my kid’s ages (I have a 9 and 4 year old now) AND Tom is back from Korea. Come on, Blogger. WORK!
To be looking into getting Lasik. There’s a place nearby that does it. I’d like to not have to deal with glasses again.
To send Tommy to school with a regular bagged lunch. With items in plastic bags. I don't do the Bento thing.
To love the cinnamon crunch bagels at Panera Bread.

I love this meme. I might have to join in one day.
ReplyDeleteWhat's a Bento? When I bother to make lunches it's in paper bags. :)
I forgot why I came to your blog but yea ... Who cares about what's her name's wedding and I don't like Krispy Kreme donuts.
ReplyDeleteWhen I first heard of Bento and looked up what it was, I decided that I'm not even going to try to be supermom. I can't compete with that.
ReplyDeletea. the Royal Wedding and the Kardashians do not belong in the same sentence!
ReplyDeleteb. love me some Krispy Kreme!
We have a Krispy Kreme not far from us too and now I think you've talked me into stopping by there today. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteAnd the Kardashians make me cringe. All of them!

ReplyDeleteI want Lasik too! I hate not being able to see when I open my eyes...and when I knock my glasses off the table, and can't find them in the morning!
ReplyDeletePS Sorry to delete my last comment, I was accidentally logged in to my "trying to get a job" email account, not my blog one!
Would you believe I have never been to Pandera bread? There are quite a few not far from where I live... but I have never had the chance to go there yet. Is it really that good?
ReplyDeleteThe Khardashians? pfft. It is very conceited of them to compare anything of themselves to Royalty, my gosh.
It was Paris before. But she is dying in the media's eyes. Which makes me very happy.
First off: Cinnamon crunch bagels = bliss.
ReplyDeleteI'm considering getting Lasik after I'm done having kids. I told my husband it was a gift to myself.
I also agree with the Kardashian wedding - who the F cares?
Thank you so much for doing this. I have really enjoyed doing this meme.
ReplyDeleteI wish we had a Krispy Kreme near us, though I am sure my butt it glad there is not one :-)
I so want a cinnamon crunch bagel now!
ReplyDeleteWe used to have three Krispy Kreme stores in our state, and now there is only one. Good thing we can still get them at the gas station.
ReplyDeleteThe closest Krispy Kreme to us is about 30min away. We have made trips there JUST for the donuts. :o)
ReplyDeleteNot a big donut fan so they're pretty easy for me to resist....but LASIK was one of the best things I ever did for myself - seriously. The ease of not dealing with dry eyes, vision issues, and contact solution is heaven!
ReplyDeleteOHhhhhhh I LOVE the Cinn crunch bagels at Panera Bread. And I don't like bagels.
ReplyDeleteUGH...royal wedding, ya whatever!
YAY for candy stores and krispy kremes!
I don't eat donuts, candy, or bagels. I'm not sure who Kim Kardashian is, and have never heard of a Bento. But that's okay! Right?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the warning about the "about me". I've been needing to change mine for about a year. I guess that means I can put it off awhile longer.
ReplyDeleteI am going to google that TLC show right now!!!!
ReplyDeleteI can't do Lasik. I'm afraid I'll be that one where something goes wrong.
I think Natalie will do great as long as her ballet teacher isn't that coach from Dance Moms. :)
ReplyDeletePS - I have not forgotten about the edits, I promise! I am embarrassed by how much time I've let slip by!
I got Lasik and have to say, it's the best $2800 I've ever spent. There's nothing compared to waking up and being able to SEE. It's amazing! I got it done nearly 3 years ago and have had hardly no complications. My only issue is that they couldn't completely fix the astigmatism in my right eye, but I barely notice it. I'm now 20/15 in my left and 20/20 in my right.
ReplyDeleteThe biggest advice I got was don't skimp on the care. These are your eyes, after all. I could've gone somewhere cheaper, but I went where I was comfortable and had great reviews.
Oh Panera AND Krisy Kreme! Can I move there? YUMMMMMMM
ReplyDeleteOh I hate when I walk into a room & forget why I'm there! And since when are they closing down krispy kremes? & why is this not a national tragedy??
ReplyDeletehaha
ReplyDeleteher sister compared it to the royal wedding..
okay..
that so figures that they would say that!!
i want lasik sooooo bad.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad it's okay to walk into a room and forget why you came in. I think I do that a few times a day. At least ... I THINK it's a few times .. it may be more ...
ReplyDeleteI hope ballet class goes well!
ReplyDeleteAnd good luck with Lasik...I hope you share your experience if you decide to go for it. I HATE my glasses, so I'm with you on that one.
Saying hi from the home state of Krispy Kreme! We have them EVERYWHERE here....but I pretend I can't see them. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI want lasik too! I already informed my husband that when we move back to the states, I am getting it. He agreed because I complain too often about not being able to see haha.
ReplyDeleteOh My Goodness! I could LIVE ON Cinnamon Crunch Bagels! LOVE them!
ReplyDeletePaper bags rock because you can draw on them!
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed Natalie did ok at ballet. You should be on Dance Moms. I'd love to see you kick some whiny mommy's ass.
♥Spot
Cinnamon crunch and french toast bagels are to die for! I miss Panera! None close by.
ReplyDeleteThose cinnamon crunch bagels are crazy good! Of course, the only way to eat them is warmed up with about a pound of full fat cream cheese.
ReplyDeleteOh lawdy!
I'm with ya, you always nail it!
ReplyDeleteHope Natalie liked ballet!
And the cinnamon crunch bagels? Oh yes, bread-sliced with a ton of butter-- food of the gods!
OK. I had a comment, but by the time I got to the box, I forgot what it was.
ReplyDeleteSimilar to forgetting what I went in the room for, but way worse. :)
Damn. And now I can't remember what the other comment I had was.
walking into a room and then..."duh"; yeah, at least a dozen times today. in my defense, I am not at home so it stands to reason why I might not know the location of some items. like my toothbrush..because,why would it be in the bathroom, right? that's ok.
ReplyDeletewhatsa a Bento?
Krispy Kreme is like a little bit of heaven.
ReplyDeleteI think if I wore glasses I would want Lasik. Good luck!
Bento is for over achievers. It's cute but who has time for that?!
Make sure Natalie pees before her dance class! ;)
ReplyDeleteAnd cinnamon crunch bagels are heaven on Earth. With hazelnut cream cheese? Perfection! I really hope I am pregnant, because I need an excuse for all of the cravings I've been having. But it's much more likely that the two pounds I've gained in the past month have more to do with too many bloggers writing about delicious food than a new baby. Ha.
Congrats on Tom being back!
ReplyDeleteThe very first thing I would do if I were to win the lottery is to go out and get Lasik. Until then I will curse my house and my kids for sucking our bank accounts dry. I mean that in the nicest possible way.
