Hey, It's Okay Tuesday!

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. They have a section called Hey, It’s Okay and will list a bunch of things to be okay about. You're welcome to join in and do something like this on your diary. Doesn't have to be on a Tuesday either.

----------------------

To know Natalie will be excited that they are making a Tangled sequel.

To love all the unhealthy Labor Day food even though some dude was on The Today Show saying, “Don’t eat potato salad. Or bratwurst.”

To love yard sales. Especially when I find cheap books.

To think Rachel from Big Brother is much more likeable without Brendan around.

To not like olives but love olive oil.

To love the mashed potatoes from Kentucky Fried Chicken.

To be shocked that it was actually CHILLY in Oklahoma yesterday morning.

To need to find some cute boots for the winter. I usually always wear my Sketchers everywhere but I feel I need to branch out a little.

To be tempted to get a Sleep Number bed. Tom has been wanting one for awhile and I’m curious.

To hope the McLinky works. It's my first time trying it so bear with me. Does it work?

  2. I hated Rachel at the beginning of the season but Porsche and Kalia make her seem less annoying. I'm routing for Jordan and Rachel.

  4. My daughter will be over the moon for the Tangled sequel.

My husband had a sleep number bed while at a hotel when he was away for work. Said it was awful. Sort of between an air mattress and a hospital bed.

As long as you're not eating potato salad and bratwurst every day you're fine! It annoys me when they act like even eating one unhealthy food will kill you.

  5. I agree- Rachel is more likable now. I want Kalia gone this week! From what I've heard about her from the live feeds she's horrible!

Awesome about the Tangled sequel! Loved that movie!

I wasn't sure what the McLinky was (never heard of it before) but it worked- pretty awesome! :c)

  6. Oh, I'm so excited you've added a linky! I will definitely be joining in some!

What kind of weirdo said to not eat potato salad?! Bratwurst, okay...but potato salad? What a nut job!

Definitely get you some boots. I always feel sorta like a badass in my boots!

  7. Sleep number beds aren't nearly as cool as they seem. You are basically sleeping on an air mattress and if you want it softer it let's out air and if you want it firmer it adds air. When I stayed in the Ronald McDonald house while my daughter was in the nicu they had sleep number beds and I was not impressed at all.

  8. Is there a theme for the linky??

calories are not counted on holidays! When will the media catch on to that?? :o)

  10. No potato salad? That's no fun. I love it. Though, I am majorly paranoid and make sure that it doesn't sit out very long before I eat it.

Love that you put up a linky for this. I need to do one of these posts again someday soon.

  11. yay! You made this into a meme! Maybe I'll participate one of these weeks!

Hey, it's okay not to have anything prepared off the top of my head!

  12. I hate olives!!! Gag city there. But I do love olive oil, even if thats weird. Glad to know that it's okay! :)

  15. I love Tangled and totally agree with you about the olives and KFC.

I can't speak for sleep number beds, but we bought a tempurpedic and we're exchanging it for the softer model (tempurpedic cloud) because the one we got is rather uncomfortable. My advice is if you can go into a store and lay on it for a while do it, because you don't know what it's like until you sleep on it :)

  16. Wha??? A new Tangled? WHEN?!?!?! I'm freakin' out here.

  17. Sleep number? Do you know what those things cost?

  18. I have two exes who both swear by Sleep number beds, and I don't. I didn't sleep any different then I did when I slept on a normal mattress. It's basically an expensive air mattress. I don't get the hype...

Save your money and just buy an air mattress--I'm sure Tom will love that!! :-)

  19. I want to get one of those adjustable Tempurpedic beds. Does that make me like an old lady? Remember the Craftmatic beds? Weren't those people all like 90 in the commercials?

  20. i don't like KFC chicken, but i totally love the mashed and gravy!

  21. I was JUST thinking last night that I was actually starting to not hate Rachel. I'm not sure I'm comfortable with that fact.

Nobody makes the mashed like KFC does. Ok, maybe Cracker Barrel is right up there.

  22. I love the mashed potatoes from KFC as well...and a darn good yard sale is enough to make me giddy. As for the sleep number bed, I looked into those because The Man and I need something better. I will suggest that you NOT go for the lowest model because there really isn't anything great about them. If you're going to spend the money - then get the higher up models for REAL comfort and support.

  23. Sleep number bed = awful night of sleep. I, too, slept on one at a hotel. We made reservations at a hotel in Tucson, AZ and I was super jazzed that we were finally going to sleep in a sleep number bed. Felt like a deflated air mattress and very uncomfortable to get out of...imagine a waterbed with a frame holding in the mattress. You'll hurt your knees on the frame.

  24. I'm with you on the olives and olive oil thing. Also, KFC mashed potatoes are delicious. I know it's most likely potato flakes from a box, but that doesn't change the fact that I love them smothered with gravy.
    Win!

  26. Sometime I get the biggest craving for Kentucky Fried Chicken, especially when I'm pregnant.

  27. After Phin squashed his side of the cheap foam mattress I bought us (I loved it too; sigh) he went out and got a real Tempurpedic. Zero percent interest, but $$. It's comfy, but I still wake up with sore back and neck ever since hitting 40 and having the kid. I heard Sleep Number beds are noisy too. Sorry to burst bubble.

  28. KFC has the BEST mashed potatoes! and I love boots- you definitely need some :)

  29. I LOVE boots! I can't get enough! :)
And isn't the ONLY reason to go to KFC is for their mashed potatoes and biscuits? ;)
